It just diminishes the regular season and we end up with the NBA where people start to ignore the first-round games because they are so obviously one-sided. But more money Yay!

The NBA has 16 that make it but only 3 teams realistically have a shot to win it. It seems more like the NHL where there's more parity. 8-seeds have won it like in the NFL where 6-seeds have won it. In the NBA, seems like only 1- and 2-seeds have ever won it.

Lots more good teams will rest players in Game #17. One seed locked up, no awesome advantage if you are seed 2-4.

A 2 seed easily can lose to a 7 seed. Or at least not have that week of rest which is huge.

I'm pretty sure Rockets won as a #6, but that was an anomaly.

If the players approved the CBA on the first round they almost certainly got ****ed hard.

I think the the problem with the NFL CBA is that half the players who vote on it aren't going to be in the league in two years so they don't want to risk a work stoppage; they just want get paid while they can.

Yeah, and there's usually at least one loser team that doesn't even deserve the playoffs in the 12 team format.

Should do 18 games, two bye weeks, play your division twice, the rest of your conference once. Not surprised the NFL owners can't figure this **** out.

There's already too much strength of schedule disparity (especially since the NFL forces who you play based off of how you finished the prior season) and this would totally take it out because even if one conference is way better than the other, all the teams within the conference are fighting for a playoff spot based off of their conference only.

https://sportsweeksportslist.wordpre...nners-by-seed/

List is through 2014.

1s: 49
2s: 10
3s: 7
4
6

And the 6 seed had Hakeem Olajuwon. That was the year that the Suns shoulda won. They also got Clyde Drexler in Feb, so he wasn't with them all season.

I also like how some owners leaked they hoped players voted no as they felt they gave up too much. Hook line and sinker.

Henry gonna get tagged now

Colts extend Costanzo, 2yr/33M. He'll likely retire after. Solid deal and we can finally stop ****ing with OTs in rd1 of mocks.

Yes, I really feel for Brady. What a rough life he's had.

I have no idea why they can't do the draft by phone/videoconference etc like they used to do back when men were men and women were cooks

Brady apparently down to Bucs and Pats. Like why the **** would the Bucs sign him? Makes no sense. Just franchise tag Jameis and hopefully lasik fixed his interception problems.

Brady to the Bears? Maybe the Bears will realize what we've known for years about Trubisky.

Tannehill not fully guaranteed tho $62m fully guaranteed, $91 in total (effective) guarantees...ie his 2022 salary guarantees on 5th day of 2021 season so unless he totally shits the bed in 2020, he'll get 3 years

That Tannehill contract is insane.

I think the correct play for Titans would have been to shop Tannehill and use the Tannehill performance to lowball Mariota.

Anyone can hand off to Henry. And although Tannehill played well, I don't think he's really that much better than Mariota.
