Because Gasly choked under the pressure of competing with Verstappen. RB can't afford to have that happen twice with the same driver so I have no problem with leaving him at AT where he brings lots of value to the team. If Perez disappoints again next year then he might get another shot because Tsunoda definitely is not good enough but Gasly might not even be ahead of Albon for the RB seat.

Meh - it was 6 months (probably not even when he drove for them) and since then has smoked his team-mates and shown up Perez at many race tracks and been consistently in the top 10 and many times in the top 6.

It comes a point and we are far beyond that now IMO when we just have to say he needs to be rewarded and indeed upgraded but there is something stopping that from happening and it is most likely from above from Helmut. So if I were him I'd be looking to leave because it is just not enough for him to be satisfied he has an F1 seat. He is beyond that now. He is now on that same level that Dan Ricciardo was on and Lando is on now that he can demand a higher race seat in F1.

Now Alpha Tauri is not bad and certainly I'd say better than Aston Martin but if Red bull were serious about him he should be in that seat next to Max and Perez can get relegated to Alpha Tauri. Perez would still race well there but at least Red bull would get consistent top 4 finishes with Gasly if he were there.

Perez gotta go ASAP. He finds new ways to suck every time. I'd give Gasly a shot rather sooner than later

If Marko had actual issues with Gasly then he would not have a seat at all. Don't know of any driver that got a second shot at a top team and with Renault choosing Ocon and Alonso over him I think his only shot for a step up is Red Bull changing their mind before a younger equally talented driver comes along.

This year the Bottas card has been utterly useless for Mercedes.
Almost as useless as Perez for Red Bull, but he actually won Max 25 points in Baku. Without him, Hamilton would have easily cruised to victory and not feel pressured into his finger error
