Mercedes junior driver Russell actually wrecked both Mercedes lol by forcing Lewis onto the wet part of the track to pass and wrecking out Bottas.

Russell is justified after what Mercedes did to him in Bahrain last year.

Wow, Bottas crashing out ends up being a huge positive for Mercedes. Hamilton's race was ****ed, but he gets a free pit and then gets to unlap himself due to the red and uses that to get 2nd (would've been about 7th otherwise). Bottas was having a crap race and was gonna finish around 6th himself. A sacrifice I'm sure Mercedes would be happy to make.

Sucks for Max, could've opened up a bit of a championship lead over Lewis.

For those that didn't watch the full race.

Perez = spun on a safety car lap and was passed by 2 cars, and then immediately passed the 2 cars back. The announcers knew right away that you're not allowed to re-pass those cars, but Perez stayed where he was and was eventually given a 10-second penalty stop. Seems like a spot where the team should know to give those spots back.

Vettel = started the race from pit lane and apparently you need to leave the car out and remove all equipment for at least 5 minutes before the race starts. His team didn't, and he got hit with a penalty.

Both were completely silly penalties that could have easily been avoided by both teams.

Mazespin has to be driver of the week, no?

After 5 spins in week 1, he cut that down to 3 spins in week 2 and finished the race! Well done lad

for vettel: either you keep working and get to actually start the race (and take the penelty), or you stop working, cant take the start, lose laps, and finish the repairs while the race is running (avoiding a penelty). they made the correct decision; you have to fix the car in order to actually race.

hey, anyone who likes f1 should at least try indycar, imo. dont forget is "romain", lol. GRO looked awesome in quali yesterday. considering his team, very impressive. JJ does not have the class in this type of car to compete with this field. he will be fighting to not be last place every race.

i missed the race due to watching f1 and forgetting the start time. now i have to figure out how to find a replay without getting the result spoiled.

Ferrari and Alfa looked better as Imola is a relatively low speed circuit.

i started it lol! it was your response on here that prompted it. i hope people who love motorsport around the world give indycar a try (not sure the broadcast situation everywhere of course). two good races already this season.

jimmy will for certain finish the year. this was expected of him, at least from me. he is bringing a ton of eyeballs to his sponsor. he is learning. i doubt he will ever be competitive, but also he is not last, which easily could have happened. i didnt realize just how bad kellett is.

Formula1 will be running three sprint races this year as a test. Always interesting to see some experimenting. Unfortunately, they are doing it in a year that there appears to be a real competition for the title. They should have done that before, when it was all Hamilton/Mercedes.

I watched the Formula E race on Saturday. Max lols when half the field ran out of battery on the last lap.

At least the batteries last the entire race in theory now. First season when they did a pit stop they would change cars instead of tires.

Thought it was funny that in formula E for some time the most important part to improve was the seatbelt so you could switch cars faster and that teams cheated with their seatbelts.

A difference between Edmonton and Montreal is Edmonton takes a quarter of a second longer when they decide to take a shot. It seems to make a big difference. Any longer and the defender would be on it.

Playing only Canadian teams this year, there still is one missing team. It just wont be complete without them.

They need to give the Jets a couple more games each year against each Canadian team.
