2019 Summer Football Transfer thread (minus Chelski) - Page 59 - Sporting Events and Fantasy Sports

I think he's a *bit* overrated (high volume guy who ran a bit hot on xG and scored some pens), but he's probably the best winger available and is 24. So, he's slightly better than Zaha and 4 years younger. Don't love paying £72 million or whatever is reported for that, but Arsenal probably have to stump up a little extra when you're signing the "best" winger you can reasonably get.

Definitely have too many attackers now though, hopefully it's not one of Lacazette or Aubameyang sold, but now even if they are we have a more balanced, younger team that is looking stronger going forward in a literal and figurative sense.

According to BFEX Man U are favs for top 4 at 7/5, Chelsea are 11/8 and Arsenal 3rd favs at 7/4

Something to consider for the syndicate maybe lol

(Or can always lay Man U or Chelsea)

Understat had him performing at expectation last year for NPxG/xA. His underlying numbers look good. Would have preferred this type of money be spent on defenders. But ill snap take spunking money on pepe over someone like zaha if we're going to do something dumb like buy attackers before defenders.

Sporadically linked with dozens of players as usual but hardly anything that seems remotely credible so far, except for Slabhead. I guess the Longstaff links earlier in the summer come closest to being somewhat believable.

Kind of starting to look a lot like last summer's fiasco. One first teamer, one prospect, ~70m spent. Really hoping for a CB and DM before the deadline though.

Yeah another balls up we have been chasing one player Maguire for weeks and cant get it over the line. We probably need at least 3 more players but don't think we will get them.

According to the Ornacle, Laca and Auba will stay. I wonder how we will fit all these attackers? In some perfect scenario, Mkhi and his likes are already out the door, but that might be hoping for too much.

They almost always play together. Either in a 4231 with Auba on the wing or 352.

They kind of can, but you need someone really good at supplying them the ball for that other slot. They also don't press in the same way Firmino and Mane do.

Although Arsenal scored more goals last year, their shots per game dropped by 3 which is very bad.

Both seems likely setups depending on opposition. If everyone stays fit (lol) i think we could do very well in both the league and european clown cup.

If we cant get rid of Mkhi we might have to send Nelson on a loan again. Maitland-Niles dreams of playing anything other than RB is probably dead as well.

Wow Tierney is almost done as well? What the ****... I am a bit afraid that i am going to wake up and none of this will be real. If we get another CB even for a 1 year loan this transfer window will be hard to criticise...

Although I have really high hopes for Holding, only bad sign is him having done his knee so young.

I gotta say I did not expect Arsenal to have a better window than us/outspend us. Was really banking on Chelsea transfer ban and Arse's miserly budget to give us a decent chance at top 4.

You are not alone. I expected us to launch laughable bids and loan 2 unexciting/senior players at most.

This almost seem like we know what we are doing or someone planned this. Weird stuff
