all the everton to arse links seem to be coming from brazil while english media says there is no interest.

Would be excellent news if true. Lo Celso might be the next big thing, but you can't compare 1 good season in Spain with 5 excellent years in the PL.

I would have bet my left nut that Eriksen will leave this Summer. Surprised a bit that Barca/Real are going out of their way to sign him. Seems like he is a bit underrated

I'm more surprised by Alderweireld, although he apparently wants £40m over 4 years.

If he doesn't get a move, he almost has to sign a new deal at Spurs given his age and current wages - if he gambles on securing a big payday next summer leaving on a free and subsequently gets injured, his options will be pretty limited.

i still have some hope he ends up at real madrid if they run out of other options. but i think the truth is more that he's generally very overrated. he's never going to make it at madrid. that's why they're looking elsewhere

He's on a reported £50k a week. Sure, if he doesn't get injured, he might get a 2 year deal on £200k a week. That's £20m plus the £2.5m on his existing deal.

However, if he does his hamstring and misses half a season for the 3rd time in 4 years, he can kiss goodbye to that kind of money. If he does his ACL, that might be his career.

If Spurs offered him say £120k over 3 years this summer, that's £18m guaranteed whether he gets injured or not.

Ask Danny Welbeck which option he would take.

The only concrete offer tabled for Alderweireld this summer is from Roma who were offering £60k a week.

For some reason, the market just isn't there for him - either way he certainly isn't getting £450k a week next summer as a free agent for a season where he'll turn 32.
