No part of that is inconsistent with what he said. His post was about whether it’s worth it to pay the kind of money needed for de ligt given the current situation with Matip and Gomez. De ligt could be VVD and Gomez could retire tomorrow and it still might not be worth it for liverpool.

Also why have an opinion on literally any transfer then? Some wanting ass wanters imo

it's a question of getting the proportions right. if de ligt turns out to be incredible, which is when people would langer it, it doesnt really matter what happens the others mentioned so the concerns in the post will look pretty silly in hindsight

No, the opportunity cost of paying however much de ligt costs given the fact that the CB situation is already very good. Is Liverpool supposed to sign every world class player on the market?

Dani Ceballos to Arsenal. He is tired of that **** team that is falling apart. I doubt he'll get much playtime while we have Xhaka, but he is a decent 2nd or third option if rumour is true.
