Adrian, Nasri and Carroll have all been released by West Ham.

Nasri - showed his quality in the few matches he played, but was permanently injured.
Carroll - arrived a raging powerhouse of a forward with a brain the size of a walnut, got injured a lot and was, by the end, a lumbering ****house that would look graceless on a Sunday league pitch. Scored a hat-trick against Arsenal once though.
Adrian - likeable keeper, forever remembered for having this much swagger.

Guy's a beast at passing, and can score too. He destroyed Arsenal, and scored a great goal. Can't put a link, but definitely worth watching.

Doesn't sound that close from what I've read actually. Some reports that he's already agreed a contract with Inter, no reports of an actual bid for him though. Considering they just barely passed FFP last time around they'll probably offer a straight swap for Perisic or a two year loan with an option to buy for a packet of crisps.

We have scored four PL hat-tricks in the last 20 years. It is quite remarkable.

Man six years flies by. Big Andy sure did well to get someone to give him a six year contract. That’s not even an option in FIFA.

Always thought Adrian was class.

I'm definitely cool with that scenario. It's what it will take, but he's good enough to start for United right now and has even more upside from there.

Quite. Amazing how I am told Gold and Sullivan are great at teh business and then do that.

Adrian was awesome. He was a good keeper for us overall and was easy to warm to.

does Carroll have a top flight career at this point? He's a relic, on the wrong side of 30, and has a lot of injuries behind him. I'm sure he could get a game in the Championship, but unless a team will play hoofball, then what does he bring to a side right now?

He is finished at any level that will pay him a reasonable salary. He looked like his body had given out completely last season, he might as well have been running through treacle. Some sort of pay as you play punt for a promoted side that is completely desperate for bodies is the only gig I can see him getting.

Thanks, Newcastle fans.

What would be the negative of reducing our wages "too much"? Would it hurt us in the future with regards to FFP? As in, we wont be allowed to increase our wages more than X% from year to year?

This window i would be way more happy about shipping players out than getting players in. I'm talking about a purge.

Keep: Leno, Sokratis, Holding, Maitland-Niles, Bellerin, Guendouzi, Torreira, Aubameyang, Laca. If a crazy bid comes for either Laca or Auba - sell.

Promote as many u23,u18 players as possible (im thinking Willock, ESR, Nelson, Saka) . Spend some money getting more top-talent into our academies. Loan out those that make sense.

Rest should be sold. Mkhi, Özil, Monreal, Kolasinac, Xhaka.. the list will wear out my keyboard. Just get rid of as many of them as possible.

What to buy? No idea. Who would even want to come to this aids-club? Just stay the **** away from overpayed bitches with zero WIM. Raise as much as possible and purchase some winners that fit with emerys system and give lots of shots to our youngsters.

I'd take a top10 spot (over Europa League aids) if there's some clear plan for the future. Basically, i'll celebrate every player sold as loud as when we signed that googly eyed **** back in 2013.

sounds nice but in practice the result is a half-full emirates booing willock off the field every other week, which i dont think does anyone any favours

This article should be titled, how not to spend £200m and how to undervalue the players you have....

This.

Blow it all up. We need to do an Ajax, or at least try. Finishing 10th would probably be good for us. Less expectations for the youngsters, and more importantly less games. I wouldn't mind it as long as there were some signs of us actually trying to build towards something

Sacrifice one of the strikers. Get rid of Xhaka right away, as he'll probably bring in a semi-decent figure to add to our **** budget. Spend it all on a CB/winger/LB...whichever or whatever we can get.

I'm running out of reasons to care for this club or these players right now. I could get behind Nelson/AMN/Nketiah/Smith-Rowe. No more 29 year olds on comfy wages who don't give a ****.

I don't think you're gonna have lower expectations as long as fans pay half a million pounds for a season ticket. Plus, losing out on even EL revenue and a few spots in the TV money table will separate you further from the pack and make Spurs the clear number 1 team in north London, even financially. At that point even if you get a good young team together, you're not keeping any unless Kronke invests in wages.

Arsenal spent the 5th most money and finished 5th. Getting rid of bad money is never a good idea but tanking doesn't work in Europe.
