People talk up Frank Nobilo, but he adds nothing of value to any golf conversation. His "Match Play" comment when Tiger and Molinari were on the 12th hole at the Masters was one of the all time dumbest comments in sports history, as there were over ten players within three shots of the lead. A tremendously horrific and wrong take that makes it hard to ever take Frank Nobillo seriously again. Seems like a nice guy, and was a very strong player before a fluke injury where he got hit in the head with an errant golf shot and it messed up his vision.
David Duvall is the best. Azinger has become one of the worst, after being pretty good in limited appearances at majors before taking over for Johnny Miller.
I didn't like Strange at all. He has that overconfident talk down thing. On Nobilo, sometimes these dumb dumb comments are forgiveable, I mean if you have a mic in front of you for years there is going to be some hair brained stuff. I remember strange at one brutal major, I think a US Open, the course was destroying everybody, Padraig was leading on the back nine with a no-name guy in clubhouse only 2 or 3 back. Strange kept talking about it was over and the guy in the clubhouse, Crane???, did a great showing but couldn't win. He won. I don't see Nobilo as arrogant or obnoxious like Strange, just a bad mistake.
