If teams are smart, we'll see a lot more 4th and 15 attempts in 2019 than onside kicks in 2018.

I can't see any old person picking Cleveland. Ever. Giants have to be up there too, yes from a football standpoint that's awful but these are old people and it's still ELI MANNING and the giants pats history and all that.

I guess Gronk being the best TE of all time depends on criteria, he doesn't have longevity and was hurt a lot.

Of course I'd be thrilled with giving Mahomes the ball in that spot.
8% to convert onsides kick this year. It was drastically lower than years past because of the new rules about overloading one side.

It's around ~20% for a 4th and 15

I can't think of many other TEs who were elite blockers and elite receivers. They're usually one or the other.

Gronk TD rate is pretty elite as well........

Mark Geragos, the attorney who represented Kaepernick in the NFL case, was the co-conspirator in Michael Avenatti's attempted extortion of Nike. The same Nike that showed support for Kaep with the ad campaign.

wait, is this 4th and 15 going to happen now? So no onside kicks? Or is there a choice a coach make between the two?

KC seems like way too big of a game, probably the Nov week 8-10ish game now.

I'd go Cle-Dal-Pitt-KC

What was the percentage in end game situations? 0%? I watched a lot of football and can’t remember a single successful onside when it wasn’t a surprise. I assume there was at least one but dunno.

In favor of anything that gives the team trying to mount a comeback a reasonable chance to recover

So who is goign to be 2nd-3rd-4th on the Pats in receptions this year? Gronk, Hogan, Gordon all gone.

I know they always put it together but they basically have a 33 y/o Edelman and nothing else right now.

Even with the Cleveland hype if there's an opportunity to put Dallas in primetime they'll do it

well it's simple NFC E gets the highest ratings, so even the **** Giants are going to get 4 of them, especially that stupid primetime vs dal game somewhere.

NE/DAL and NE/KC are basically locks to be 2 SNF games. eagles cowboys another. Then it gets kinda murky, bears packers already taken. Dal @ Chi/NO as well. There's four locks (though one could be a TNF/turkey game).

Would they have the balls to do Ravens Browns? instead of whatever lame ravens/steelers is gonna be

And they will all somehow be wide open on crossing patterns over the middle on every play and turn a five yard pass into fifteen yards.

NBC will have 3 games of Dallas through the year anyway, so might as well save them for weeks 3-8 and use their opener on an otherwise lesser opening game.

Do Fox and CBS have the rights to any specific cross conference games? Some of the biggest cross conference games haven't been on NBC in recent years (namely Dallas hosting big name AFC team which would usually be a CBS game)

Report out there Dolphins tried to trade for Stafford last offseason and would've been willing to give up the 11th pick.

Lions didn't even get to asking what the offer was.

Stafford had recently signed and had a 50M signing bonus DET would be responsible for. How would they make that work?

A gofundme from Lions fans would get it by the end of the week.

this is what i was thinking. i kept seeing a percentage of success, but the eye test from watching a whole lot of end game football i remember ZERO successes.

eta- the nfl claims that 7.5% is in line with previous years on expected onside kicks, its just there were more surprise onside kicks prior to the rules..
the database i found said 4 recoveries on 53 attempts

Both calls and non-calls of OPI and DPI can be challenged next year.
