Some O Lineman are gonna get PAID this offseason. Not many top tier ones in the draft and few premium Tackles in FA.

I misread this as "Saints O Linemen" and got confused, so I looked it up and they're all signed through at least 2020. I feel better.

(Four of them are in the Pro Bowl this year! The fifth was an AP second-team All-Pro.)

Going with a proven failure seems to be right in their wheelhouse.

Not for 2019 but... bold future prediction:

If KC does not improve their defense and win a SB by the time Mahomes's rookie deal is up, he becomes the next QB of the Dallas Cowboys.

Points to consider:

You could see the frustration on his face as he watched the KC D cost him multiple games this year.* Kid is competitive, and isn't going to let a franchise that can't field adequate D support to hold him back.

He grew up around MLB, where it is more common for top superstars to change teams.

He grew up in Whitehouse TX, so Dallas is the closest team to his home.

When Mahomes's rookie deal comes due, it seems like a reasonable timeframe for Dallas to figure out Dak isn't going to take them to the promised land.

Wanting:

- keep Carr obv, resign Cook as a priority
- use all three first rounders on the front seven, trade down if possible but keep them all in the first
- use cap room on OT, WR in FA
- take a shot at a QB on day 3 because what the heck

Expecting to see Carr in Jacksonville, piss away all the cap money on Leveon and us taking that midget QB or the guy out of OSU

That is bold indeed. The problem with Dallas isn't Dak, but the offensive coaching, and I doubt Mahomes is going to sign up for Garrett's run-run-pass "just getting to the red zone is good enough" offense.

If this were to actually come to fruition, I'd expect Garrett gone, maybe Kris Richard as HC/DC, and they bring in a new OC to utilize Mahomes...perhaps Lincoln Riley?

I'm not a Dallas fan. Just a prognostication I thought of while watching Mahomes looking like he took a knife to the guts while watching KC's D from the sideline multiple times.

If Reid sticks around in KC for awhile though, I expect him and Mahomes to get hitched.

See above...not a boys fan. I actually hope for your second sentence because I'm a Chiefs fan.

Cole Beasley just came out and said that the front office pushes who gets thrown to. Why would a QB want to play under that? Garrett might be gone by then but Jerruh won't.

Mahomes is a small town kid who doesn't really like the limelight side of it. He's happy in a place like KC. They'll give him a blank check, he'll sign it.

why does beasley think this? i guess based on his assessment they've force feeding witten (pre-retirement), zeke, dez and now cooper. maybe it's the fact that all 4 were ultra talented and he isn't. He's averaged like 75 targets per season which isn't awful for a guy who is like 4th/5th option most seasons.

The press in Dallas seem to think strongly that there's been a handshake deal with Payton for the last few years where Payton is opting out and going there as HC when Brees retires and that's why they haven't hired a new OC yet until Brees decides what he's doing.

I don't know if anything there has been mentioned on that front or if they are just wanting.

Lawrence, Clowney, Jarrett are locks to be tagged/paid before FA. Saw speculation KC could get a 1st in a tag and trade for Ford. Seems like a snap accept if true. Will be interesting to see what Pats do w/ Flowers. Still will be a pretty good FA class.

SEND IN THE BROWNS DYSFUNCTION

There's a lot to allegedly unpack here but cliffs are, Haslem runs things like Donald Trump. Farmer got the GM job without having interviewed for it and then did whatever he thought Haslem wanted him to do.

that 14 AIDS Browns draft of all the GOAT players, Pettine made the gilbert pick, then the owner wanted manziel so bad Farmer just went whatever dude, then the Texans called them offering the 2nd rd for Hoyer and Farmer was so pissed off at this point he didn't do it. Also that draft was how lombardi/banner got fired, because Haslem heard them arguing over a player, when this happens all the time because no two people are going to agree on every damn player.

oh and haslem didn't like bridgewater because of a handshake.

and they cared so much about social media they projected it on the wall--someone entered #dp for dawg pound and well that's not what was on the wall for awhile.

Haslem wanted Hue, the execs voted 4-1 for the guy the Bills got. Haslem constantly did this.

"DePodesta wrote Haslam an email arguing that the Jackson hire went against many of the characteristics of successful coaches they had discussed"

lolololol

Wonder how much of the Garrett or Trubisky was actually a thing.

"We just don't know what we are doing," Dee said in the office around that time, according to multiple sources in the building, a refrain they had heard her utter before but that she denied through a team spokesman. "If we'd known how hard it would be, we never would have bought the team."

(that's haslem's wife lololol)

Giants gotta at minimum renegotiate Eli's contract if not outright release him. That and get a new offensive line.

Wouldn't mind seeing Big Dick Nick in a Giants jersey.
