is the # of solo tackles per game indicative of great production? as a carolina fan it probably indicates that our team sucked on D the last few seasons.

Well, on the other hand, the QB charters I follow called him the most accurate QB in this class, and I've seen other things (like that thread I posted some pages back) that he has a great football IQ. Between those two factors and his production in college I think he'll succeed despite lack of experience.

Unrelated, but no reason to start another post-- I'm just gonna leave this here

There are a lot of people in this class I haven't studied but of the ones I know the biggest undrafted surprises to me were

QB Brett Rypien
QB Tyree Jackson
WR Emanuel Hall
WR Stanley Morgan Jr.
OG Beau Benzschawel

Bills signed Tyree Jackson as UDFA.

Tall guys with strong arms!!!

He's faster sideline to sideline. Either he reads plays better, has faster short area quickness, or some combination of both.

He def pops on tape. He's also great in coverage. So good in fact teams hardly threw at him. Check him out.

Goff is outlier-ish, so not a good comparison.

Since 2010, 40 QBs have played at least 7 games in their rookie season.

Rosen was 36th in AY/A, Goff 39th
Rosen was 35th in Passer rating, Goff 38th
Rosen was 31st in completion %, Goff 33rd

How many of them played in a situation anything like as bad as Rosen’s?

Sad thing for Rosen is that he doesn’t get coached by Sean McVay next season and that the situation at Miami is not much better than Az. Maaaybe the line is a little better

Goff was in a similarly ****ty situation to Rosen, I think Rosen was a better prospect than Goff, and he was younger as a rookie to boot.

Goff also has arguably the best young offensive coach in the league as well as offensive weapons for days. Most people still don’t think Goff is that great of a qb despite his gaudy stats. I’m not sure what’s gonna happen in Miami for Rosen, but I do think the situation is gonna be a lot worse than what Goff currently has.

Yes, I for one think Goff is very limited and I don't expect Rosen to jump to a Pro Bowl performance this year given the situation. We're talking about whether he should be written off after one bad season at age 21 in a complete trainwreck of an offense, though.

I'm grunching hard

Josh Jacobs is going to be awesome.

He will be the true definition of a Gruden's Grinder.

This is totally worth a read (Players Tribune article) btw:

He split time with a player who was a third-round pick in this draft and another who was the #1 recruit in the country
