lamarcus aldridge comes to mind, and yao was up there in all time terms. kaj probs the correct answer but the skyhook feels like cheating, i am more thinking reasonably conventional jumpshot form
KD?

Saw Ja Morant from Murray State in person today (along with a slew of NBA scouts, 3 from the Nets alone). He's the real deal. Can't quite shoot the 3 consistently yet although form looks decent and he hit one from the logo today. Absolutely amazing dribbler and passer. A+ court vision and passing. Pretty standard-decent size for a PG. Can get to the hole with ease. Just turned 19 in August.

I'll hopefully have a longer post on some of these, particularly Wiley, but of the late 1st/2nd/UDFA prospects I've seen in a lot of games both in person and on TV this year and last. All SEC guys.

Quick hitter UT guys

Admiral - ceiling: poor man's Draymond; dribbling this year gives a lot of hope he can at least hang around on 2nd units for 6-8 years.

Grant Williams - ceiling: rotation player for 4-6 years; almost assuredly a long and prosperous European career.

Daniel Gafford, Arkansas - I realize he has a chance at the lottery and definitely would have been close to that last year. Ceiling: John Collins level prospect. Quick hops. Gathers the ball well. Developing shot, but form is great imo (has gone from 53% FT to 61% this year and also shooting almost 1.5x the attempts). Aware and quick defensively. He should have come out last year.

Auburn guys

Anfernee McLemore - probably coming out next year, but I saw some rando on twitter had him as 33rd in this year's draft so here goes. His ceiling is Draymond level player but more likely a Montrezl Harrell-esque player. Was 2nd in BLK% for a large portion of last year despite being a 6'7"-6'8" center (NBA position is PF). Can shoot the 3, but he has regressed from there this year. Has a quick release for it, but has not shown NBA range. He showed some decent dribbling against Arizona this year, but none outside of that. Key is he knows his role and plays it well. Gets the ball out of his hands quick. Very good at getting it back up with success when he gets an OREB. Had the quickest second jump I've ever seen before he ruined his leg last year. Unbelievable vert even post-leg injury. Very intriguing 2nd round-UDFA pickup.

Austin Wiley - around a month ago, I would've said his ceiling was Jah Okafor. He's improved leaps and bounds in defense, and his post game is great. Needs to develop a left hand badly, but he's almost assuredly a late 1st round pick this year. He needs to improve PnR defense, but he's gotten so much quicker since his freshman year (the last time he played which was 1.5+ years ago) I expect it to keep coming. Wide and sets good position; he's not going to get pushed around much, but he needs to get better at boxing out/posting up with his body facing the baseline/basket more when defenders side/front guard him. Free throw stroke has improved since his first year, but still a concern as he shoots them like his mother (Vickie Orr) with a ton of knee bend with the ball way out in front and way above his head. He used to have a hitch in it, but he now shoots in one fluid motion post knee bend. More to come later, but if I was a scout, I wouldn't want to spend a 1st round pick on him at this point. This one comes down to team construction, as he could very easily feast on some second-string centers but is not playoff-ready for the NBA. He'd get picked on every time down the court.

That was a lot of words, so I'll be back for some Bryce Brown (6'3" SG) and Jared Harper (5'11" PG) stuff (I'm higher on Harper as an NBA player; oddly enough, if they were both two inches taller, it'd be Bryce I'd be higher on).

I've seen quite a few great dribblers; his handle can go up against almost any of them. It was so impressive to watch. His turnovers can be absurd; sometimes it's like he just wants an alley oop every transition. But there is zero doubt he sees the floor at a higher level than anyone I've seen in college this year. He makes great skip passes in both transition and the half court. He's worth the price of admission in college for sure. I feel bad for the 4-,5-, or 6- seed who draw them. They have a kid who pairs nicely with him as he can shoot lights out (Tevin Brown, 44% from 3 this year).

Like the John Collins comp for Gafford. Watched Gafford destroy Indiana this year and came away thinking he has no business still playing in college basketball.

JAs celing is so so much higher than Carsen Edwards. Carsens realistic ceiling is as a 6th man type scorer off the bench. Hes 5'11 and isn't really a PG.

No way anyone who plays for coach K is dominates in the NBA. Grant Hill never played to potential. Nobody who has the alpha dog mentality necessary to dominate in the NBA chooses to play for coach K. Kyrie is an outlier.

Also NCAA is watered down compared to what it used to be. So Zion is dunking on high school kids.

Zion will never live up to expectations.

LeBron once said that if he had to go to college he wouldve likely chosen Duke.
