Time for some more PL PEEHS.

Here was my 1st attempt at running an 2017-2018 EPL PEEHS.

& here is the 2nd:

We had 52 entries in season 1, & dipped to 48 in season 2. Hoping to right the ship for this season.

Some of the questions remain, some have been substituted out arbitrarily and/or capriciously.

Like the last 2 seasons, there will be 30 total questions; 19 spread out throughout the season, and then 11 for the end of the season. There will be 15 questions about teams, and 15 about individual players.

Most questions include both a date & a fixture #. The date is the general guideline to go by & the fixture # is basically just for reference. If a team’s game for a certain fixture gets moved back for whatever reason, I am not going to hold off on the reveal until whenever the game is made up. However, if for example, the Premier League decided in its infinite wisdom to hold a Tuesday game as part of their opening match schedule, or something like that, I would wait the extra day & it would count.

RESEARCH IS ALLOWED
Feel free to do as much reading & studying as you want before your entry. Or as little as you want.

SCORING
This is PEEHS. The winner(s) will have the lowest total score after all 30 questions have been revealed. PEEHS rewards those of you that submit a correct answer that is guessed by as few entrants as possible.

If your answer is correct, you will get as many points as the number of people who said the answer.

Incorrects will be scored as (SHEEP score for that question) + (# of different correct answers submitted for that question).

Scoring twist: The old scoring twist only came into play twice in season 1, & not at all in season 2, so I'm going to adopt TJ's scoring system from MLB Peehs. If you pick an incorrect answer that more people have picked than the correct SHEEP, you will be scored as if the incorrect answer you chose was the SHEEP, while everyone else will be scored normally.

For example, if there are 3 correct answers given, and the SHEEP is worth 10, you would normally get 13 points for an incorrect answer. However, if 20 people said the incorrect answer you chose, you will get 23, but everyone else who picked an incorrect answer will still get 13.

All other scoring as normal.

ENTRIES
Anyone can play; all I need from you is a PM with your entry. Please submit a single-spaced unnumbered entry. I will accept entries in other formats, it will just be slightly annoying. Please use first and last names of players if applicable.

Entries close Friday August 9th (9 August if you prefer), at kickoff of the opening game, which is scheduled to be Liverpool hosting Norwich City at 8 pm local time, 3 pm USA east coast time, & noon JM3 Pacific Time.

Feel free to resubmit any time prior to opening kickoff. Optimal strategy might be to get an entry in early, then reconsider closer to the deadline. That way you don't forget to enter, but can still take into consideration the latest transfer window/injury news.

The Questions:

#1 - Name a team that will lose their opening game (most games August 10th).
#2 - Name a team that will be undefeated at the end of the 2nd fixture (August 19th).
#3 - Name a team that will have 3 or less points by the end of the 3rd fixture (August 25th).
#4 - Name a player who will have 2 or more goals by the end of the 5th fixture (September 16th).
#5 - Name a player who is not a goalkeeper who will have played every minute for their team by the end of the 7th fixture (September 30th).
#6 - Name a team that will have 5 or more road points by the end of the 9th fixture (October 19th).
#7 - Name a goalkeeper who will have 4 or more clean sheets by the end of the 11th fixture (November 2nd).
#8 - Name a player with at least 13 shots on target by the end of the 13th fixture (November 23rd).
#9 - Name any team with an own goal by the end of the 16th fixture (December 7th).
#10 - Name a player who will score a goal, record an assist, or receive a red card on Boxing Day (December 26th).
#11 - Name a team that is neither in the top 4 or the bottom 4 after the New Year’s Day games (January 1st).
#12 - Name any team that will be in the top 8 in most Goals Scored by the end of the 23rd fixture (January 18th).
#13 - Name any team that will be in the top 8 in saves at the end of the 25th fixture (February 1st).
#14 - Name a player who will have hit the woodwork at least twice by the end of the 27th fixture (February 22nd).
#15 - Name a player to have converted at least 2 penalty kicks by the end of the 30th fixture (March 14th).
#16 - Name any team that will have either tied Manchester City, or lost to them by at least 4 goals, at least once by the end of the 32nd fixture (April 4th).
#17 - Name a player who will have had at least one goal from a free kick by the end of the 34th fixture (April 18th).
#18 - Name a team that will have a different manager than they started the season with by the day after the end of the 36th fixture (May 2nd).
#19 - Name a team that will be playing in a game that matters on the last day of the season (38th fixture) either for a top 6 spot, or a relegation spot. The game can matter either for that team, or for their opponent. For a game to matter for a team, it could either impact where they finish between 1st & 6th in the standings, or whether they will be relegated (May 17th).

#20 (Season's End) - Name someone who will have scored at least 13 goals.
#21 (Season's End) - Name someone who will have at least 7 assists.
#22 (Season's End) - Name someone who will have a WhoScored rating of at least 7.25 at the end of the Season.*
#23 (Season's End) - Name someone who will have at least 2,500 touches.
#24 (Season's End) - Name someone who will have a combined total of at least 20 between times subbed off and times subbed on.
#25 (Season's End) - Name someone who will receive at least 7 yellow cards or at least 1 red card.
#26 (Season’s End) - Name someone who will have won at least 125 aerial battles.
#27 (Season's End) - Name any team that had at least one game where they scored at least 4 goals, and at least one game where they allowed at least 4 goals.
#28 (Season's End) - Name any team that finishes the season in the top 7 in the standings.
#29 (Season's End) - Name any team that was in the Premier League last season and this season that will finish more than 3 spots different from last season, or any Premier League team that was promoted this season that will finish in the top 12.
#30 (Season's End) - Name any team that will finish the season with a negative goal differential.

I will again be entering the game this season. I am going to PM myself my entry by tomorrow morning (wanted to get this out today & no time to look at answers right now). I will not change it regardless of what happens. It can all be verified at the end if you feel like it. However, I will not be participating in any of the side bets/contests, so I think y’all can just take my word for it.

Last season there was a £10 side bet. 28 people participated (up from 18 the previous season) & £s were distributed. I assume there will be a similar game this time. I did a separate table for that, & would do a separate table for any other side bets as well if people want to partake. Whether it’s for some high roller action or avatars or whatever. As always, 2+2 is not responsible if someone steals all your money (I’m also not responsible, I’m just asking the questions & revealing the answers).
