AS an Oilers fan and utter disappointment year after year all I got is watching the Leafs Fail year after year and watching the Toronto Sports Network lamenting about the leafs

takes a lot of grit to have two 8 game losing streaks and lose to d-town 4 times and still make the playoffs.

while it will be weird having August hockey, I'm looking forward to it, sitting by the pool and getting some bets in. Will kind of feel like the World Cup.

I also think it will be intense as hockey players are cut from a different cloth and really want to win the Cup. Whoever wins this is going to have to play alot of games and there will be no asterisk next to it.

Last season, Montreal's MLS team lost both games to by far the worst team in the league, Cincy, who finished the season with only 6 total wins. Getting curb stomped by AIDS teams is just what Montreal does.

Empty arenas should be fine, especially in dry climates. I'd worry more about Florida or Texas.

Plus the Knights practice facility is beside the Red Rock. Two really good rinks

canucks have the same deal as benning has successfully purged everyone who might ever disagree with him
but in this case i think the best way to explain it is bc the owner secretly wants influence on hockey moves and for the gm to be the fall guy for everything that goes bad, and that pasty ***** benning is a rare breed who'll happily take that deal

i think bergevin is just an incredible salesman. at the end of every season he gives the same press conference explaining how one key injury was the reason we missed the playoffs (like the habs are the only team with injuries) and that with a little tinkering and DAT FARM SYSTEM (which hasnt produced a good NHL player since... brendan gallagher in 2012?) we'll be contenders next year

start of every season he's bragging about how great a drafter he is and all the great free agents he signed, then when they're in january when they're like 25th place he's like oh it's bc those 2 guys got hurt and we have no depth, and no one in the media points out that, as the gm for like 8 years, the depth thing is kinda maybe on him ??

plus nobody questions the injury thing at all
they haven't even had bad injuries to key players, he just cries when the jay beagles go down as if they matter at all, and as if they're the only team that suffers injuries, and everyone just goes along with it

also might be hard to argue that everyone didn't know what was going on back then when the head coach moved on to be an assistant with london under dale hunter for a couple years, then seemed to just disappear from hockey altogether lol

they kept the 2 assistants on for a few years
