Question 4) Name a team which will not have a win in their first two games

We didn't want much. All we wanted was to get one more goal than the other team. Alas, for some organisations, that will simply not happen.



With nobody selecting either Poland or Colombia, we can reveal this question, despite one or both of them being an unused ace. We begin.

We had three unused aces for this question outside of the Poland/Colombia possibilities. One is Morocco, who were drawing pretty much dead before this happened:



And they proceeded to concede to non-fat Ronaldo in the second game. Our other two unused both came from the same group. One is this:

We had five incorrect guesses. Our most common incorrect was chosen by no less than six players, and it was basically caused by this:



Japan was taken by JMurder3, Dara D, NicReynolds, Giroudgeous, PeteBlow and eleanor60 and thanks to some Colombian defender losing their mind, allowed the far east nation to get a result.

Our second most common incorrect was the Iran result highlighted earlier. Cinarocket, mw828, Adam W and Jack W were all seconds away from a correct result, as is they leave with nothing.

Our final incorrects were all picked by one person each. Fatal Checkraise opted for Serbia, while they were in Brazil's group, they don't play Brazil until the last game, and by that stage they had managed to beat Costa Rica with this blinder:



LostOstrich went for Nigeria, which was going OK until an Ahmed Musa brace against Iceland allowed them to take the three points in their second game after an opening defeat to Croatia. Our final incorrect was from Schlitz mmmm, who can blame ex lolarse keepers for this one

Our sheep answer was chosen by seven players in Yippie-ki-yay, mic_check12, SYF, LFC, Planetist, Eric T and Booker, in Panama. They were looking OK for 45 minutes against Belgium, the remaining 135 minutes, not so much



Our other most obvious answer was taken by five players, kingweed, Nemesis, Benedmonds, eyebooger and Vilica, with opening games against Russia and Uruguay this seemed very safe, and Saudi Arabia was indeed a safe pick

Australia had landed a tough group and despite Jedinak's penalty taking ability, they were a correct answer after losing to France and drawing with Denmark - S.K, MindFckr and Bob Dobelina each get a decent three pointer.

Three teams saw two players pick them each - while Panama had the same matches as Tunisia, everyone piled on the team that, because table don't lie, better than USA#1, while xander biscuits and Namath12 were able to get the two pointer after they weren't able to get a late winner against England and then got thumped by Belgium.

Peru looked OK on paper and were only one goal worse than both France and Denmark, but worse they were, and rtspurs and lukethefluke both get a decent correct answer.

Our final two pointer was a lolconcacaf team, Costa Rica being mathematically eliminated after two games where they lost to Serbia and Brazil. teejayC and Jabonator called that one correctly.

This just leaves our two aces - vruuuuk was the only player to realise that, without Salah, Egypt are a bit rubbish, and they lost in the dying minutes against Uruguay and got smacked up by the hosts before finally getting a consolation goal.

The other ace was selected by envelope, South Korea weren't hwaiting quite well enough and have zero points after a VAR given penalty against Sweden, and a late Son goal against Mexico was only a third of what they needed to make our mail carrying friend incorrect, so that's your lot for this question.

We've had fifteen teams keep a clean sheet. Nobody opted for the following:

- Rui Patricio vs Morocco
- Danijel Subasic vs either Argentina or Nigeria
- Francis Uzoho vs Iceland
- Vladimir Stojkovic vs Costa Rica
- Guillermo Ochoa vs Germany
- Robin Olsen vs South Korea

All of these would have been a free ace, which the following would have rather picked:

Yippie-ki-yay, lukethefluke, envelope, Eric T and Schlitz mmmm all opted for England keepers. As the three lions conceded in both games, Jordan Pickford was a wrong answer. Meanwhile, Schlitz mmmm thought Jack Butland would play, but he didn't, oh well.

LostOstrich went ace hunting with Eiji Kawashima, while Japan are in a great spot in the group, they've been unable to prevent both Colombia (with ten men) and Senegal (twice) scoring against them.

Namath12 had what would have been a great pick in Willy Caballero, then this happened:

Our last incorrect came from eyebooger, perhaps not realising that Costa Rica are not at the same standard as Real Madrid and that picking Keylor Navas was quite a dangerous selection.
