How it works
Predict the results of the 48 group games (Home Win, Away Win or Draw) by marking 1, 2 or X. Points are awarded according to the betting odds of your selections.
In the example above, we’ve selected a Home Win for Russia vs Saudi Arabia, and a Draw for Egypt vs Uruguay. If Russia win, we’ll get 14pts. If Egypt draw, we’ll get 40pts.
All selections will be tracked on a public Google document, with leaderboards updated daily.
Entry Fee & Cash Prizes
The entry fee is £10 (GBP). The payouts depend on the number of entrants, as follows:
So for example, if there are exactly 100 entrants: The top 10 places will be paid, with 30% of the prize pool (ie £300) going to the winner, right down to 2% (£20) to 10th place.
How To Enter
First you’ll need an Entry Sheet. You can either download a copy from this dropbox link, or email worldcup12x@gmail.com. The entry sheet is in Excel 2007/2010 XML (.xlsx) format, so if you don’t have access to a recent version of Excel you may prefer to open it in Google Sheets.
Once you’re happy with your selections, send the completed sheet to the above email address. Be sure to include a user name: this will be displayed on the public sheet so nothing offensive please! If you feel like being particularly helpful, save your completed sheet as “12X_USERNAME” as that’s exactly what we’ll be doing with it once we receive it.
2+2 user mic_check12 is the escrow for this comp.

When paying, please include your username or email address in the payment reference field, so we know which entry you’re paying for!
You’ll get an email confirmation once both your entry sheet and your £10 have been received.
The deadline for entries (and payments) is MIDNIGHT GMT on Wed 13 June. Any entries or payments received after that time are unlikely to be accepted! This comp is open to all, and we're expecting a field of over 100 entrants, so the admin will be hard enough without a load of last-minute hassles.
That said, we want to encourage as many people as possible to join in. So if you're at all interested or have any questions, feel free to PM me on here or send an email to the admin address. That address again: worldcup12x@gmail.com
