the croats took like 3 minutes celebrating (fair enough, but still, they took ages) and we were standing around ready and obviously keen to restart ASAP, so we drew attention to the fact that loads of time should be added on. obviously a bunch of professional footballers didn't think they were going to be allowed to score without the ref whistling to restart the game, that sort of thing wouldn't fly in a pub league

If we count the last 3 years nobody has won more international trophies than Chile.
We would have probably won a World Cup but we keep missing out from World Cups based on administrative desitions, I think its 3 of the last 8 for us.

There was definetly some weird urban legend going around this world cup that teams could kick off quickly if no opposing player was in the field of play. Some Portuguese dude stayed on the pitch rather than celebrate with his mates after their equaliser vs Spain, Toni Rüdiger went back to pick the ball out of the net after Kroos' buzzer beater, Panama tried the same vs England. Can't blame England for trying I guess but the offside is certainly LÖL.
