He wasn’t being used much so far. Has only two catches all year. Meh. Best of luck to him. We are pretty deep at wr so not too worried. I suspect the new four game redshirt rule has something to do with this decision as he made it before he played a 5th game. This year won’t count against him if he transfers and redshirts. I’m assuming he just wasn’t happy with the amount of touches he was getting and wanted out.

Wasn't he a starter though? I mean, sure 2 catches isn't much and maybe he wasn't getting as much PT as he thinks he should get, but it just seems crazy to transfer away when you're in that position on an elitish team.

Yeh, a “starter”. Starter because he’s a junior and been here for a bit mostly. Dude never really flourished here. Can’t blame him for leaving. This is nothing like the Duke Williams situation where there was character issues. He couldn’t get open like ever. He’s a great blocker for Gus’s system but dude couldn’t get any separation in the sec and didn’t see the ball much as a result. He would probably do well in the acc or a weaker conference like the B1G.

The most bipolar teams are Missouri and Mississippi; They are quite good on offense (esp passing) and quite bad on defense. Kentucky and LSU would obviously be much higher on resume. Mississippi State could theoretically improve a great deal if they'd get their offense in line with expectations.
