If you've never watched Sevens rugby, you owe it to yourself to watch.
Each match lasts only ~15 minutes, there is a ton of sprinting and scoring and very little dead time.
The World Cup is interesting, no pool play, just 8 play in games, then 8 first round games, then sorted in to three mini tournaments:
The first 8 matches should be mostly blowouts, but it will be competitive from there on out.
Fiji are the favorites, around +120, while New Zealand and South Africa are the next two best sides.
USA has a shot at 8-1 and has home field advantage (it's being held at AT&T Park in SF). Really exciting team to watch, they have the two fastest players in rugby, Perry Baker and Carlin Isles, as well as a couple bruisers. They've been improving every year and got a pretty decent draw here. Should be favorites over Ireland and a flip against England if we win.
Australia, England and the US are all pretty close, with Scotland, Ireland, Argentina, France a cut below.
If you're looking for an exciting underdog, Kenya is awesome to root for. Their fans just party the entire time and they play a pretty fun style and IMO have a better shot than their 66-1 odds.
