you're right. Rickie has never won a major and shouldn't be grouped with those other guys.

Hole 3 playing to a smooth 2.54 scoring average so far today: 44 2's, 52 3's, 0 4's. Gonna need to add a windmill to that hole.

This really shows how bad Rory's wedge game is compared to most tour pros. He probably gets 8-9 of these holes every round.

The PGA is a second rate tournament routinely held at mediocre venues. This course is pure "meh." And, uh, shocker, its hot in August and the greens suck.

Rickie Fowler with a big chance here. If he shoots just two under over his last eight holes tomorrow morning, in likely perfect conditions, he will be almost certain to be in the last or next to last group. If he gets on a roll he might have the lead heading into the start of the third round. I needed Kisner for 15K in the British, so I hope he doesn't get there. Rooting against him all day did not work...lol.

PGA barely a major. The players who end up having one major in their careers, like Azinger Toms, Tway, etc., would chop off a toe to have that PGA be a Us Open, Masters, or British. It is still a major, and the Players Championship that people keep calling a 5th major, will NEVER be equal to a PGA, but it is definitely the one that means the least, by a mile. Back to the Players, it will never be a major because the pressure is just not there. To be a major, you must be haunted by a close or blown loss, or missed opportunity. It is a nice tournament, an somehow it became this own separate category, and that is where it will remain for all time...."plus a Players" is unique when they talk about careers....Two majors, plus a Players...interesting.

There are four majors, and the PGA will always be in last place. You can debate the top three rankings, but the Masters probably always comes in first or second in the tally of votes. I would probably go US Open, Masters or British as a really close call, then PGA way up the track.

I would go Masters > British > US Open - but, all three are very close with the PGA always falling a distant 4th.

a strong USA#1 contingent at the top at the cut. hopefully things go the way of the Masters or U.S. Open, and not the British Open, over the weekend and a new streak can be started.

It's surprising that the PGA still uses a manual leader board on the course.
