PGA barely a major. The players who end up having one major in their careers, like Azinger Toms, Tway, etc., would chop off a toe to have that PGA be a Us Open, Masters, or British. It is still a major, and the Players Championship that people keep calling a 5th major, will NEVER be equal to a PGA, but it is definitely the one that means the least, by a mile. Back to the Players, it will never be a major because the pressure is just not there. To be a major, you must be haunted by a close or blown loss, or missed opportunity. It is a nice tournament, an somehow it became this own separate category, and that is where it will remain for all time...."plus a Players" is unique when they talk about careers....Two majors, plus a Players...interesting.
There are four majors, and the PGA will always be in last place. You can debate the top three rankings, but the Masters probably always comes in first or second in the tally of votes. I would probably go US Open, Masters or British as a really close call, then PGA way up the track.
