So the actual trade was the 77th pick + Kendall Fuller for Alex Smith. I didn't really anticipate players being included in the trade, & it doesn't count anyway, so I decided the best course of action would be to arbitrarily & capriciously assign Kendall Fuller a value in terms of what he would likely be worth in a trade on his own.
He was a 3rd round draft choice 2 years ago, has 2 very cheap years left on his contract, & was the #1 slot corner per PFF.
I think the 40th pick is a reasonable corollary for his worth. Per the Stuart chart, the 40th pick + the 77th pick is worth approximately the 14th pick.
Pursuant to the Stuart chart, though, I could have graded Fuller anywhere from the 106th pick or better & the result would be the same.
The most controversial thing about this, if this question, actually counted, is wtf pick does "high second round" equal? I would probably have gone top quadrant & made it 40th overall if this actually counted so as not to reward the inability to follow directions, but for the purposes of this exercise, 36 seems fine.
