Zhaire Smith is going to end up with less rebounds per game than Trae Young in summer league. Completely invisible again today. Starting to feel more confident he is going to end up playing G League minutes this year. He's just a complete nothing on offense out on the court and isn't as disruptive against NBA athletes on defense as he was vs undersized Big 12 athletes.

^^ 47th pick people, this has to be the deepest draft of all time, there are several guys like him who will have long careers in the nba who went second round and would go in the 1st in every other draft, sheesh.

For years, people widely recognized the way to build a contender in the NFL was through the draft. It will never fully swing that way in the NBA, but glad the draft is starting to get recognition for showing real value with teams like GSW and Boston using it to build contenders.

Meh, these guys are young.

In conference tournaments, they play a bunch of games in a bunch of days too. Heck, one year UGA had to play TWO games in one day.

In high school, it's not unusual to play 2 or even 3 games in a day during summer sessions.

Yeah the NBA game is bigger, faster and more physical, but these games are also 40 minutes rather than 48 and these guys are playing a smaller % of minutes since so many different players are getting a look


Went to a couple games, saw absolutely nothing from Smith. Pretty disappointing, although not that surprising as he's more on athleticism and long term upside.

Also seems like the type of guy who will fare better as the 4th or 5th option on the floor rather than being forced to be the guy and try to create for himself, which he can't. If he can develop a 3 point shot then he'll have a good career
