Zhaire Smith played 23 minutes today and had 2 points and 1 rebound. He was a -18. Would not be surprised at all if he ends up in the G League as early as this year.

To be fair, Zhaire isn't projected to be Kawhi Leonard regardless of what Brett Brown tells the media to make people feel better about trading Mikal, Zhaire is a 3+D player. Zhaire should look okay in a few years playing with a good p.g in Simmons, a player like that don't have much of a game to look good without someone feeding him. It's still a bad move to trade Mikal when he was the perfect fit & ready to play now unlike Zhaire.

Is Cedi-Osman a starting caliber S.F in the nba? He has looked amazing on both ends of the court in the SL, i know it's just the SL but he's looking pretty amazing tbh.

Ayton vs. Mo at 9:30 ET. Mo is already calling a win.

Will be JJ vs Isaac.

Doubt Ayton or Mo do much.

Zhaire is probably too good defensively to stay out of the league, but I'm saying I think he will pull a Malik Monk and spend time in the G League as early as this year because he's just so limited offensively

Sixers don't really need him next year anyways. I guess the concern would be with Bridges is he wouldn't get the minutes he deserves next season on the team.

Cedi has always had Hedo-level confidence. That's half the battle.

my view is as follows:

if a player has multiple years of experience playing pro ball, they're supposed to crush summer league. if they dont, thats a big ol' red flag. not a shocker that osman is mashing.

if a player is a rookie and they are sucking in summer league, its a very minor flag but really shouldnt mean a whole lot.

the best signal for summer league is the dudes who are rookies/undrafteds who light up summer league. alex caruso last year is a good example. i didnt realize caruso is so old, tho. guy is 24 (!!!)

Euros and Eurotards circling the wagons. Bar getting set too high for Doncic. At this point, the lolMVP’s gotta be a real basketball all-star this year to justify the ball-washing.

Meanwhile, DraftTwitter comparing Ayton to Al Jefferson, and curious if he will actually contribute to winning (as he puts up great numbers on great efficiency in wins).

Dennis Smith JR , Jonathan Isaac, and John Collins especially looked great. I think Atlanta has a future star in Collins.
