I would love it Cuban promised Jordan a big deal, so he declined his option. And then Cuban ghosts him

The Warriors know this has a marginal chance of success, but league sources say they intend to at least explore their free-agent chances with DeAndre Jordan, who is not only close pals with Kevin Durant but also one of GM Bob Myers' former clients

Center market is shaping up to be real rough. The Clippers twitter account is saying goodbye to DAJ lol and seem fine resigning Harrell with Gortat and Boban. The Lakers seem like a big favourite to get LeBron+ limiting the money they can spend on center.

So you got Boogie, DAJ, Capela, Favors, Randle, and Nurkic with Dallas the only team for sure capable and willing to make moves on all these dudes at over the MLE, Pels might want nothing to do with Boogie except sign and trading, a good shot that Randle has to have his rights renounced by Lakers, Morey negotiating with Capela with really only taking 3.4 million qualifying option as leverage. Nurkic seems destined to have to take the 4.1 QO because the Blazers are so close to the tax, and its just a ****ty spot for all these guys.

Dallas should squeeze these dudes.

I think it's pretty likely some of these could last a really long time. I also think that Morey is by far the most likely to get a good deal. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like 4/70 for Capela, which seems insane-- but who is going to ****ing pay him? Even next year if he has a better year? The Nets, Bulls, Pacers, Magic, and to a lesser extent Hawks (John Collins' best position, almost for sure), all think they have their C of the future. The Lakers have bigger aspirations. I mean maybe if he's unrestricted the Clippers give him a bunch of money?

It's a little known secret that Jokic is better as a PF on defense, and can play with any center offensively... (Hell they were like a +7 with Plumlee). The only one I could see fitting with him is Capela though.

Then there's this.

Can Stan Kroenke, who has legally divested and is strictly an NFL/Soccer guy, offer up ownership in one of his other teams?

LeBron probably wishes he signed with the Nuggets after the 15/16 season when that happened.

What is O/U on LeBron's announcement?

I think he knows where he is going right now for the most part. But probably has to drag it out 3-4 days to avoid it looking like tampering.

I'd say July 4th.

I think he definitely knows. It may or may not be contingent on LA landing one of the other two dudes

yeah still think him (and PG if he isn't re-signing) take 4-5 days to keep up appearances

guess i'll just run down some predictions here and we'll see how wrong i am....

DJA - Mavs 3/60

Cousins - 1yr with Pels for around 20-25

Randle/Parker/Smart all take QO

PG/Bron to Lakers

Capela re-signs 4/75

Dwight to Wizards on a reasonable deal

CP re-signs like 4/120

I think on Lowe's pod they said the last 2 decisions were on 7/9 and 7/11. Windhorst seemed pretty confident it would be before 4th of July this time.

I read somewhere that Lebron plans to announce his decision after the Kawhi situation is resolved. Is that still the case? Or could the Lebron domino drop first?

I'd like to see LeBron go to PHI. The West can have HOU/GSW and the East BOS/PHI finals would be the most hyped final four I can think of. LeBron and PG in LAL would be legit but then BOS just cruises through the East. PHI is a team that Brad can exploit and I just think that that overall talent is BOS>>>PHI as is.

Lakers ending up with LeBron, PG and Randle together almost never happens. Theyd have to dump Deng into space, where they could otherwise just stretch him and sign the 2 studs or trade him in a Kawhi trade.

I guess LeBron really wants to work on his Hollywood career because going to the Lakers makes zero sense from a ring chasing perspective.

I really hope this is the year they do something about the West vs. East power-balance. Last year it took 47 wins, but that's with the following All-Star players from the last two years ITW missing more than 15 games:

Kawhi - 73 games
Boogie - 34
Millsap - 44
Steph - 31
Rudy - 26 (He's an all-start in my book)
Chris Paul - 24
Jimmy Butler - 23

Only Boogie seems to be in line to play worse or less next year, and none of those teams are what I'd consider to be old. Then you add the top 4 picks in this draft going West and the potential of Lebron coming, and I don't see how they can continue this.

Christ the 8 seed in the East will be a tanking team most likely.

He's a baby who threw his teammate under the bus for taking a wide open last second shot instead of letting PG jack up a triple-covered fadeaway.
