Feels like Casey and the Crapstons are doubling down on being Casey and the Crapstons. They should both gamble. I hate it more for Casey since Detroit is a bottom 5 job as presently constructed, but I guess he didn’t want to risk taking a year or two off
Detroit’s probably a bottom 1 job in the league. Props to Casey for getting 5 years.
Not sure what the Jazz do with Exum or anyone else. They have a bunch of meh team options that they should probably decline, but none would be terrible then have Favors and Exum on massive cap holds. Could free up 19 million potentially but it would mean renouncing those 2 plus Thabo, Udoh, Neto and Jerebko. Exums gonna be good though. It wouldnt shocked me to see him get the 4/36 MLE from a team or to see him take a 1 year deal at less than his qualifying offer. Still so young and unknown that it’ll be interesting to see how he’s valued.
I still believe in Mario Hezonja, he had his best year this season & the Magic decided to not pickup his option. I assume he will ball out next year for another team & the Magic probably doesn't even resign Aaron Gordon & he becomes an allstar next season & the Magic just continues their run as the worst organization in sports.
Yea Mario still has potential. My Pacers should know all about players possibly being way better than they looked at Orlando, and the 3 is their biggest need. Have a go at it Pritchard!
I like the Indiana fit for Love as well. Feels like that is the type of team that is going to be able to best utilize him. A 2nd-3rd tier type of team that can't really get anyone better. The best teams just can't/won't pay him 25m+.
Indiana, Portland, NO, Washington would be the best fits I think.
Would LOVE to hear your 4 trade ideas
Thad+Bog+Jefferson for Love, Korver, Clarkson

For Love? he can't have much value with only 1yr left on his deal. Teams will have more cap room next summer and he should be a top 5 UFA on the market, I'd think he can get a 3-4yr close to max deal at worst. Similar to what Lowry/Millsap got last summer. So he has to be a big fav to opt out after '18-19 season.
If LeBron is gone then Cavs should be tanking so picks/cap filler for Love seems logical for all teams.
None of those teams have much to offer in the way of picks really, but a team that has a little more to offer then Love probably isn't going to want to re-sign with (although maybe he just takes a 5yr max if he can get it, as it will be his last big payday in the NBA since he turns 31 at the start of his next deal, assuming opt out)
Whoa Thad. On the one hand that opens up funner options this offseason, like chasing Gordon hard or trading for Love or something, but I think Thad was value at that price and probs median outcome from him declining is Pacers get worse
Thad's been stuck on some of the ****tiest teams for so long now it's hard for me to picture him opting out to leave a playoff team. He went from 2 years with Hinkie to the worst team in the league tankWolves to the friggin Nets.
Maybe he suspects they're gonna trade him to the no-Lebron Cavs
