Butler is a 30th overall pick from an awful upbringing who worked his ass off to become a superstar. Can you imagine how unbelievably tilting it must be to be around these gifted #1 overall talent kids who care more about getting new Fortnite skins and eating candy than they do about getting better at basketball?

I agree with this, Butler wants to win so badly he has to be on a team that is geared the same way. He has endured being around garbage his whole career, paid his dues and now needs to win. He was buddies with Wade in Chicago because he respected Wade's work ethic and professionalism despite Wade being a terrible player in Chicago (it was Wade & Butler vs everyone else). Give him a good culture and he would probably be an excellent teammate ( but obviously my exposure to everything is through the media so I don't know too much- just a read)

A guy with Thibs miles that already misses a quarter of his games isn’t declining. Got it.

Has anyone here sat near Thibs during a game? Imagine having to listen to that abuse every freaking day. I mean ffs the guy lives in a hotel and owns three suits, his experience dealing with people is almost non-existent. I could even give him a pass if the one thing he was supposed to be good at was actually like, something he didn’t completely suck at.

Jesus Thibs use your brain. You have guys who suck at help D but thrive on-ball and a center who stones guards regularly, lets ice the pick n roll and call a bunch of ISOs for a less efficient player, brilliant!

Definitely agree that Thibs is the biggest problem of the lot though, he's the actual worst.

I’d have more of a problem with a player who actually thought this is the guy they should listen to:

If KAT made a mistake, it’s not including Thibs and all the timberbulls in his list of demands for extending the full five years.

And Jimmy doesn’t want to win, he wants to be the man and get paid. His list of preferred teams includes exactly zero that have championship equity.

Good arguments on both sides, imo, re: Emotional Intelligence/Communication Skills vs Hard Work. Most likely all parties are acting in good faith... but there is difference in values. Seadood obviously somebody in a long-term relationship.

The real problem here is Thibs. If he wasn't such a neurotic autist, this seems like a situation a people's coach would be able to resolve and come out stronger for. For ppl complaining how some guys suck at the XO's, I wonder how many locker-room issues they handle.
