Boston Red Sox
Owners of the best record in baseball at 108-54, the Red Sox cruised past the 100-62 New York Yankees and then handled the 103-59 Houston Astros with surprising ease. With a well-balanced combination of hitting, pitching, fielding, and just being awesome, they are going to be a difficult team to beat 4 times in 7 games. They are led by presumptive MVP Mookie Betts, but are dangerous top to bottom.
Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers were 92-71 this year but currently look more dangerous than their record indicates. They hit the second-most home runs in MLB this year (Yankees were #1) and have a very strong starting pitching staff and bullpen. Led by Justin Turner's extremely strong second half, the Dodgers promise to make this a compelling series, at least.
As a Boston native and 20+ year resident of Los Angeles (I live about 15 minutes from Dodger Stadium), this is a series I've been talking about with my friends for quite a long time, and I couldn't be more pleased it's finally here.
