Pick-Cavs don't need future picks, they need players unless they were giving up on the 2017-2018 season

If you have Lebron in his prime you don't downtrade players especially to hated rivals.

Trade is now Kyrie for 8th pick + Nance + Clarkson--they got wrecked. I even like Nance but it was a disaster trade. Both Nance and Clarkson look like deer in headlights most of the time in the postseason.

Boston actually gave up too much, i think people need to stop reacting to a trade after everything that goes wrong, goes wrong. Crowder was/is a good 2way player, IT, if he came back from injury even at 80-85% of his old self was a solid Kyrie esque replacement & the Brooklyn pick was assumed to be top 5. The trade was actually lopsided in Cavs favour.

I think even with the struggles in the finals you make one more push with Kyrie and this core. Hope for injuries. Hope for struggles. Hope for basically what happened at times to the Warriors this year and gamble. Yeah, if Kyrie is out, they're likely even worse than they are now. Would they have been able to get Nance or Hill without some of the stuff they ended up trading, IDK.

Rather have George Hill than no Kyrie and rather have #8 this offseason than Kyrie with 1yr left on his deal that wants out probably.

It "was" lopsided at the time, Ainge clearly won though, big time after the fact. He sold fools gold. Every one of those assets is less than it was last year. IT was going to be flushed no matter what. Crowder is just not playing well with Cleveland and Utah. He's junk now. 8th pick is not anywhere near as valuable as expected.
