Gonna draft Khris Middleton. Age 27-31 seasons which should be fine. Consistently shouldering more of the offensive load and has remained a great defender. Fantastic free throw shooter and a career 40% from 3 (although slight blip this year on increased volume)

Team K(h)ris:

Porzingis
Middleton

Too many people are in this fantasy draft, not enough talent in the nba for 8 rounds with 20+ people. We're already at Otto-Porter & it's just round 2 hhaha, ridiculous.

Otto Porter is a good, young wing who plays good D, shoots 44% from 3 and only 25 next season. There are a lot of good players left but he fits a pretty sick niche and only 25.

This draft illustrating that NBA has a pretty serious problem within the next few years as stars decline. There's not much talent in the pipeline.

Not sure how you got to that conclusion, there are a lot of nice young players

Giannis
Simmons
Embiid
Tatum
Mitchell
AD
Doncic
Brown
KAT
Taps
Jokic
Capela

Then Ball, Lonzo, Fultz and a few undrafteds have a shot at being good/great.

This years draft was pretty nice and last years draft already has some nice pieces with some guys who might be good/great soon. Giannis has a shot at becoming a generational talent, so do Embiid, Tatum and Simmons and KAT as well as Doncic. AD is already generational talent.

RWB miles better in this format. This isn't the actual NBA, there are no super teams, you only trying to build like a ~50 win team. Really like the pick

The issue with RWB is he probably won't age well. Athleticism doesn't age as well as shooting. I agree he's better in this format and he definitely got under drafted but I can see why he fell.

Wish Assani had taken Jrue instead of Wall. That first team All Defence back court would give me tingles

Although I'm pretty sure Wall is a massive locker room cancer and Yolo is like the least cancerous dude in history, so would be pretty funny to see how they got along

Having Capela and Mitchell on this list proves my point. If they are going to be a part of the top players of an era that's going to be a pretty terrible era.

Probably going to see the current top players all continue to dominate well into their 30s. I regret picking Giannis.

Is Jrue considerably better than Wall on D? They are the same exact age and their numbers look comparable:

Jrue: 1x All Defensive Team(1st Team 2017-18)
Wall: 1x All Defensive Team(2nd Team 2014-15)

Jrue career: 2.3 STL%, 1.1 BLK%
Wall career: 2.4 STL%, 1.5 BLK%

Jrue last year: 2.0 STL%, 1.7 BLK%
Wall last year: 2.0 STL%, 2.8 BLK%

Jrue counterpart PER last 5 years: 15.8, 18.8, 21.3, 18.5, 18.1
Wall counterpart PER last 5 years :17.6 , 17.8, 16.1, 16.9, 15.8

Jrue DRPM last 5 years: +2.10, +1.18, -0.94, +0.77, +2.00
Wall DRPM last 5 years: -0.13, -1.26, +0.12, +1.73, -0.44

Jrue USG: 23.1% last year, 23.3% career
Wall USG: 29.1% last year, 27.5% career

DRPM and the recency of his best defensive season(last year) is the strongest case for Jrue. I think the Usage stat is a huge point in Wall's favor though. Also worth noting that Wall led all Wizards starters in BLK%(whereas Jrue had AD). So Wall is being asked to run the entire offense, be his teams primary rim protector, and lock up his man on D. Jrue was the 3rd option to start the year, moved over to SG halfway through the year, and has AD protecting the rim behind him. I think there is a strong case that Wall would be an elite defender if he were more of a role player who could concentrate on D.

I find it pretty amazing that 5 Celtics and 4 Warriors went in the first 32 picks. Even accounting for a little homerism and recency bias in this draft, that is impressive for those teams.
