i havent read that the release clause is a relegation release clause, could be. dont think they have much leverage anyway being relegated but 13m for a top attacking player in this market is crazy low and it seems weird to set a release clause this low when you bought him for the same price

i mean newcastle managed to get 30M out of levygoat 2 years ago for sissoko and shaqiri is 10x the player he is

Shaqiri knows what he is getting into. He has plenty of experience sitting in the stands from his Bayern days, and surely he isn't delusional enough to think that he is getting in the starting XI without a couple of injuries occurring.

I'm not sure how Mahrez will work at city. I could see him getting pissy real fast when he doesn't get to play, but OTOH $$$.

Clubs can play upwards of 60 games a season with the league, Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup . Not one player is going to play that much. Shaqiri will see plenty of match time.
