FIFA opens anti-gay case after alleged Mexican chants

http://www.espn.com/soccer/mexico/st...mexican-chants

FIFA needs to send a message here. Make Mexico an example of what will happen if your fans act in this disgraceful fashion. Drop the hammer ... force them to forfeit the KOR match 1-0. There's no place in football for his behavior.

Isn't it?

No, FIFA do not need to send a message here. People need to get the sand out of their vaginas.

No. The USA is just really that bad.

Sugar Nut -- is Neuer the clear #1 goalkeeper on the squad? i'm guessing Ter Stegen is the #2?? might we see him in one of the next two matches?

Unless Neuer gets injured again, I don't think we'll see Ter Stegen playing.

If we lose/go out today and the third match is obsolete, Löw might also play the reserves against South Korea.

I don't know about the inner workings/team dynamics of team Germany and I haven't seen their trainings, but I believe Neuer is the #1 goalkeeper of UEFA and thus of the world (possibly including Germany) by some margin/without debate

any chance the germans fix their midfield? dump khedira, gündogan emergency dm, kroos and goretzka as #8 and özil pushed out wide again or something

Kroos was really hamstrung by the Mexican tactics. Sweden probably doesn't have the MF to do to him what Mexico did but then again I didn't think Mexico did either. Kroos might actually be unplayable as he played in match 1 though admittedly it's tough to imagine Low throwing out the same tactics after losing to Mexico. Obviously that's not a blueprint that can work often but it can work if a team can counter.

Kroos was Germany's best player against Mexico, it's just Mexico's entire gameplan was shutting Kross out, and it worked.

i was thinking Neuer's form might have slipped a bit since Rio (and thus a possible opening for another GER keeper to see the pitch). thx for setting me straight here.

He was injured all season and thus there was some doubt wether he'll be fit for the World Cup, but now that they've put him in goal he'll stay there.
