‣Odds format: Of course everyone has its preferences and customs, let's avoid some "american odds woat" debate again. Most posters are Euro's where decimals are the most common odds format so this would be the prefered format. Fractional formats also ok, american format very ill-advised.

To sum-up the decimal format :

1.50 odds = 1/2 = -200 ➜ Bet 100 to win 50 (get 150 back)
2.00 odds = evens ➜ Bet 100 to win 100 (get 200 back)
5.00 odds = 4/1 = +400 ➜ Bet 100 to win 400 (get 500 back)

In for Fantasy, I would prefer entire tournament, but group stage only is fine.
The official website FIFA/McDonalds seems to be the best option for fantasy.

The best fantasy game is hands down the Fox Sports Australia one (if they run it again). And lol at only doing a fantasy game for just the group stage, no reason not to do the whole WC. We did a great draft game last time actually with the first 2 picks you make being locked for your team only for the whole tournament and the rest of the draft being locked as just your players for the group stage only and then open season with the wildcard.

@mic, as I said, happy to take feedback regarding fantasy. I know you played the Euro one but did you really think the format was appropriate for a tournament like this? Loads of fun during group stages and last 16 as usual imo but after that dynamics went to ****. You had people leading because they made good choices/were lucky and people trailing who could just go all-in on one team only and pray.

I remember being in the chase for the win and the last game was just strategy but the non-fun one. Everybody picks more or less the same players and people could just decide whose clean sheet they wanted to back (france or portugal) and other weird dynamics.

As I said, imo, this works better for a group stage and possibly last 16 but where is the fun in getting a solid lean and have it threatened by a bunch of guys who can just freeroll the finals/semifinals when the player pool is limited and they can just yolo?

Fantasy draft also fun and makes a lot more sense to run through the entire world cup (assuming no transfers allowed) because you at least get rewarded for good picks pre-tournament
