I'm excited. Drafts are the best part of 2p2, imo.

Also, I want to cast my vote on being able to draft the rookies. I'm sure there are some guys here who will be very relevant in the 5-year landscape, and it'll be fun to look back and see who made the right call.

This is actually an interesting idea to buff the bottom half of the draft. Something like everyone can draft one rookie starting in the fourth round? (I took lonzo with last pick in second round last year so about 50 and fultz went 10 picks later - thanks for nothing dean)

I'm not too caught up either way but it seems it'd be cleaner to open it up. If someone wants to make the argument that Mo Bamba is a top-30 NBA asset, then all the power to them.

Idc too much either way, but I'm against it because 1. there's the least info, so the hardest for us to 'judge' right now and the hardest for us to 'judge' even two years down the line and 2. inevitably someone gets Ben Simmons or someone early, then decides to take Ayton in the second round, and just takes all rookies and argues "YEA BUT MO BAMBA = RUDY GOBERT" and then he binks like 3/8 guys hard and the other 5 are out of the league. Idk, there's nothing really 'wrong' with that, just not as fun to me

Isn't there a way to include a special round for rookies ?

Like a round (first or last) fully randomized without any link with the rest of the pick order, so each team has a rookie in his team

ABBBBBBBBB then random round for rookies

I think it makes more sense to let people draft rookies whenever they feel like it, but cap the # any team can have at either 1 or 2. Then people can't just take 5 of them & pretend their team might be good in 5 years. & you have the strategy of figuring out when to use your rookie slot(s).
