That's insanely close and I don't think you can fault the ump for whatever call was made live, but there's no conclusive video evidence so call has to stand.
How about , as home fans u don’t cimmit E -10

Isn't there a decent gap between the fence and the stands? I'd like to see exactly how easy it would be to reach over the seats from there.

No. You can lean over the fence easily there as a fan.
Zero gap.

The MVP probably would have caught that ball, but interefering with the attempt was a negative freeroll. GG.

There should be a decent gap everywhere so fan interference is impossible, but it'll never happen because money.

At least his team won the World Series last year.

Doing something like that when your team has been on a long drought (~95 years) can do real damage to your life.

Why? They're in the field to entertain us, not win games.

Exactly, they are playing the game, not you. Back off and let the player do his job. Integrity of the game should trump all, and anyone who tries to **** with it is an *******.

If the ball is into the stands and you think he's going to catch it, interfering is a positive freeroll. Not that it's reasonable for fans to think of multiple factors in that situation; they just see the ball coming and throw out their hands.

I thought it was over the fence, but that still shot looks pretty 50-50. As much as I like to hate Country Joe, I can't fault him for that call, either way.

The best part of the picture is the old guy in the white shirt looking like he's trying to catch the ball while watching himself on the big screen.

that's an interesting angle. Betts' arm is clearly partially over the fence. The fan encroached minimally if at all into the field of play, and that was my conclusion viewing the live video. Fans being required by rule to vacate their seats/ standing-room isn't reasonable.

Betts definitely would've caught it.
