they need to show the side angle.
if it's already over the fence it's not interference.

Exactly. What is a fan supposed to do in that spot. Sit quietly hoping the OF makes a highlight reel catch?

Is that the rule? If a player reaches into the stands to catch a ball and connects with a fan then it is an auto catch? Seems crazy to assume a player is going to catch a ball 3 feet over the fence.

Are they gonna kick the fan out now? Isn’t that standard protocol. Dude prolly paid a pretty penny for front row and got to see 5 outs.

no reason to kick the fan out, betts invaded his space, he didn't reach onto the field.

I always thought the rule was if it's in the stands then the fans have a right to go for ball and it isn't interference, but if it is in the field of play then fan has to back off and would be call interference if they reach over. Am I wrong?

The fans are clearly reaching outwards so it seems pretty naive to assume there's 0% chance that they reached over the fence. To my understanding (which in baseball is really limited), just because it's above the yellow line doesn't mean it's fair game for the fans. That's insanely close and I don't think you can fault the ump for whatever call was made live, but there's no conclusive video evidence so call has to stand.
