Lol at reporters trying to find a correlation between the 2 run homer being called an out and the astros losing by 2.

Pedro cheap shotting Angel Hernandez I love it!
The TBS crew ****ting on the umpires was great.

Then Shefield says Woodruf hit Machado on purpose.
In a 1-1 game in the 6th inning. With a man on first.
What a donk.

Hypothetical - what if it’s a Houston fan interfering with a Houston outfielder? Does it still get ruled as an out?

If fan interference is close, that doesn't necessarily mean the call is close or that he gets a free pass for clicking buttons. On a ball that's TWO FEET OVER THE WALL at the boundary, the two possible mistakes are

(A) incorrectly rule OUT on a ball that was absolutely certain to be a home run.

(B) incorrectly rule HOME RUN on a ball that may have been caught.

If the odds of getting the interference call correct are really 50/50, then he needs Betts to make that catch ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the time for his call to be good. Of course there's wiggle room because it's all quick human judgment, but that catch probability isn't even remotely plausible.

you cant assume either way, bro

seems you are mad though, so you won't see that it was ruled an out therefor it stayed an out

looks like the play tonight is to bet 55% of life savings on verlander, and save rest for 6th inning hedge if it's close.

Joe West demonstrated what to do when a ball is hit directly at you. Instead of getting out of the way by buckling your knees and letting gravity collapse your 350lbs to the ground like a mound of pudding, you freeze like you don't see the ball at all and let it cork you in the chest.

I little bit more tail on that ball and he gets it right in the forehead, and that would have been so cool.

Sox bats are going too well, feels like they'll bully Verlander seeing him twice in a week and if not the Astros BP is toast anyway

I'm confused by everyone piling on Joe West for the home run/out call. Don't they just listen to whatever NY tells them?

Stros might gave a beef on the interference play...maybe not...close either way...that said how about not letting JBJ own your soul then that **** wouldn't be an issue.

Yes but the call on the field matters for some dumb reason then you need conclusive evidence to overturn it.
They had a side angle but some slob gets in the way of the play.

This is the first replay I've seen where it really is hard to tell either way.
