Lol I'm in the too creepy club already.

Had serious language problems in Paris/France. Worked there for 8/9 months and some the responses I got when asking for almost anything drove me mad....me parly vu English?....them...you English?...me...no I'm Irish, can you speak English?....them.....you speak good English for being Irish.....wanted to smash his face in lol.

Even the drug dealers struggled to chat to us in Leipzig lol.

And they speak awful German in Leipzig to begin with.

Don't know about Germany but in France the trick is to vomit out every french word you can remember in whatever order you feel like and they'll ask you if you speak english.

I did a little student exchage thingy in Leipzig for 2 weeks about 8-9 years ago and this was the general vibe I got from the city.
No problem at all moving around and speaking English with the younger people.
I did not buy drugs thou.
