They changed the system a couple of years ago so that the league champions from the top leagues are automatically placed into pot 1. UEFA coefficients determine pots 2-4.

SPL ranked 20th best league.

Top 8 league winners into pot 1 is the only positive change they’ve made in recent years.

I hate the changes they made with the 4 teams from the top 4 getting in automatically.

Made a huge difference when one of Germany/Italy didn’t be 4. Them being so far behind Spain and England no longer makes the slightest bit of difference and the french league isn’t going to make up the gap to leap frog either of them.
