I think the Raptors have a 15-20% chance of titling this year and a 62% chance of finaling if healthy (98% chance of first round, 90% 2nd round (probably avoiding Philly/Boston in the 2nd round since they will be the 2nd/3rd seeds imo, 70% chance of ECF. Think they match up fairly well with Warriors now, but obviously are out raw-talented.

I think Philly is really the only team really good that is a tough match up for the Raps as they match up really well with Boston/Milwaukee and probably Indiana too.
Coulda used that +/-4 games qualifier in your prediction of their games won in the playoffs against the Cavs last season

He is, but it's frustrating as hell that he's this good and doesn't have a jumpshot. How can you play ball your whole life and never learn to shoot? It blows my mind.

Simmons waited for time to expire before he heaved from beyond half court. My biggest pet peave in the NBA. If I'm an owner, I think putting a cash prize on half court + shots might change that culture.

Simmons should do that on any shot outside the paint.

Yeah, drives me nuts too, I'd bench a guy for it. Like, it's potentially 3 points, why the **** not shoot it?

Still not great, but don't deserve to be too low imo.

Raps yea I guess they're at the top of that second tier, don't think they quite deserve own tier though.

Heat are smart enough but lose points for weird priorities (seem to have locked in a mediocre low playoff team, could be worse but don't really have any way of getting anywhere now).
You're right about the Cavs doing some good things when Griffin was GM, but now he's gone and Gilbert is still the owner. I'm downgrading the Cavs for longterm crappy ownership. Good point about Gilbert going way into the tax while Lebron was there.

I agree about the current Heat, but given their history I have more confidence in them than anyone in the lower tiers.

When you watch enough NBA you start taking the athleticism for granted and it becomes the norm but wow this first half has had Embiid, Simmons and Baynes all did stuff that made it look like they are playing on nerf hoops in a living room. Unreal.

Hard to imagine how anyone could take Aron Baynes’ raw athleticism for granted.

Embid probably has one of the lowest bball IQ in the league. Lazy passes, sloppy dribbling, and terrible shot selection. 76er's seemed destined to be perennial playoff disappointments.

He's played something crazy like 120 competitive games of basketball in his entire life including high-school, college and NBA. He'll get there.

Rim protection and not being made of gelatinous goo also help Embiid.
