Pretty much this 100%. The injury takes 8-9months to recover from, Cousins isn't coming back until like late Dec or January 2019, dude isn't taking his recovery serious. His big self is fat & lazy, he's done.

I badly want the Lakers to lose every game, the offseason signings and them not trading for Kawhi is just such bad gming that they deserve it.

Seems to me that:

a) Utah is a great team, likely 3rd best in the West
b) Mitchell is a great young talent that could one day become a superstar and
c) Last years success, particularly in the playoffs against OKC, has gone to Mitchell's head and some struggles will do him well in the long-run

Causation is backwards here though. If you heal well, you can come back early. If you don't it takes longer. Most players don't have the time luxury Boogie does so that correlation is less likely to be predictive in this case.

I think it's REAL likely you're confusing correlation and causation here

Edit: oh, yea, what Velocity said

dub have had success defensively with centers who were much worse fits, or as bad. cousins isn't going to break the D. they'll defend screens differently w/him in, but this was true of like zaza also. offensively pace is really not a big deal. bogut is a good reference again here. he was by no means capable of running the floor, but was not a deterrent to the rest of the team doing so. pace would be a problem if they intended to run the offense through cousins, but he is going to the 4th or maybe a co 3rd option if he is lucky

Edit: this is all assuming he plays mostly with the other starters. Bench scoring is actually a big weakness for the dubs so he could play a lot of min with them I guess. Dubs play a lot differenty with the bench guys

Yeah easily, but I think given their bad loss and Denver’s couple of banked good wins I kinda have them even right now.
