Well obviously we will make a signing or two. It is incredibly unlikely that we sign someone that will come in and start though. That is the nature of the game when you have a great first XI and not that much money compared to the biggest clubs itw.

We will sign a RB for rotation with Trip. I doubt we replace Janssen, though I could see us sign a very young forward to try to develop while we give Vince another year. My second priority after a RB to replace Walker would be another CM since Dembele is going to go downhill in the next year or two.

How much does Poch like Trippier? Is he going to be the starter?

Poch is apparently very high on Walker-Peters too, not sure he's ready for a full backup role just yet (from what I've read and what Windy has been saying) but I don't think the management think he's that far away.

Doubt they give up on Janssen yet either, he was largely poor but with a few flashes, we'll see. He's also still only like 23?

Interesting one to look for is if Marcus Edwards starts getting some squad appearances this year.

I'm struggling recollecting seeing him much this season.

Last season I saw some games where he was just very strong, athletic and balanced with the ball (maybe just maybe even in short spaces also) that I remember thinking that he'd have a breakthrough season soon but that hasn't really happened.

Not really seen him in games (against non favorites) where he saw a lot of the ball (overall statistically he does see it a fair bit though) but he has enough power and ability, that there is real box to box potential. Musonda though definitely has more attacking ability.

Ntcham doesn't seem to be locked into a specific midfield role yet and when I've seen him for Genoa he's been sort of a freelancing, often in opponent half. A wild card on the team given no important responsibility really, not relied on defensively much, and at least when I've seen him not an important player in buildup or providing midfield fundamentals if you will either, which may be also saying something. But on the other hand, somewhat put in positions where he'd have to do a lot individually, which can also be saying something.

It seems like he lost some playing time to Hiljemark who I'd say is something of a complete opposite to him. It's a good sign that Ntcham in same position is doing longer passes better than Hiljemark who couldn't make it at PSV because he was just too limited in possession. It's not something I remember seeing much from Ntcham so it's just nice that it is there and important if he is going to be a central midfielder.

It probably is less good that his open play key passes went down drastically (Genoa as a team was similar) which you don't see often when context seemingly was similar and statistically he was also a lot more selective dribbling, not doing it a whole lot anymore.

Maybe coach reined him in? Or he is just turning into the kind of player that he'll be moving forward?
