I think Wenger said that Alexis is prolly leaving this summer, and that's what I hate about Wenger. It's that defeatist attitude. Definitely made it more likely that Alexis is in fact leaving when a coach says that.

Another article says Wenger is trying to get him to stay, so I guess I believe that rather. If Alexis leaves, there's like so little chance of winning a proper trophy.

Herrera has knocked some of this back saying that he wants a long career at United and whatnot. Can't always take someone at their word, but, I do feel fairly confident atm that he isn't looking to move

You can expect him to be your best CB already, even though that's not saying much

I have some doubts about him 'leading' a defensive line. He has always played with a 'boss' by his side, so it will be interesting to see how he does without one.

Elite in off-side trap (as per Benfica standards), might not be so good with a low defensive line.

Good with the ball on his feet, also a good back up for RB.

Have you watched Bailly play at all? He still has more develop more, but, it sounds like he was brought in to compliment Bailly

I meant "playing besides an older, more experienced and better player".
Two young guys like Bailly and Lind can definitely work as the quality is obviously there, I'm just saying it will be interesting too see how Lindelof plays without someone aleays giving him instructions.
Has he matured enough? Is he ready to lead? These are my questions.

As for the "being the best by a mile" bit of my comment, it was just a bit of fun. We will see.

We'll find out if he's ready to lead, lol. I do like the general sound of Lindelof from the way you've phrased it. So, the hope has to be that Bailly and Lindelof gel the way that Vidic and Rio did

Either or both of smalling and jokes will be moved on IMO. I would also imagine that there will be demand for both of them. I can't see one of the top 6 or 7 sides being in for them, but, they would start for many English clubs
