Fwiw, I'm not sure how much credence any of those things have because it's also going about that you've got 10%, but the one thing for sure is that it should incentivise us to hold out/keep him for another season.

Yeah, he signed a six year deal at the end of last season so we have quite a lot of power in this spot. We'll probably pussy out and not use it though.

He really improved again this year. I was definitely in the "Do not want" camp last year, I wouldn't be upset at all if Arsenal spunked the £55m or whatever this season.

i know people say that but idk if its that bad. i mean maybe i wouldn't want him to be heavily involved in buildup play ala giroud or the fat swede but he seems to have no problem receiving the ball just inside the area, taking a touch to give him a bit of space and twatting it in the net over and over again

also great in the air. seems pretty useful when facing burnley or whoever when they are playing 10 men in their own box, which is the majority of games for top teams

Fun aside - This reminds me of the time I got threatened with a shotgun.

I was in an horrendous dive bar in central Wisconsin one new year's eve, and some random started talking to me, topic came up of football for a while. Was asked about a particular player (can't remember who), I said "decent but has the first touch of a rapist".

The barman didn't like this one bit, shouted at me and was very clear to confirm the existence of a shotgun behind the bar.

Inital thought was to reason with him. Secondary and almost immediately dominant thought was to go "sorry missus patterson" repeatedly a la Kevin and Perry.

He probably would have won us most of the games we drew vs smaller teams this season, but idk, just seems like you should get a more complete footballer for the 75m+ he'll cost. I'm lukewarm on him at most.

Benteke would have racked up 20 goals for us if he'd played a full season but it was clear he stunted our overall attack. Very lazy just to say 'hel give you 15+ goals a season blah blah blah'

Utd have a guy who will deliver 15+ a season but their attack is completely disjointed and overall suffer.

Our top scorer this year had 13, less than Benteke yet we are one of the top attacking sides in the league.

I was actually waiting for some pundit to say we shouldn't have let Benteke go because he scored more than firmino.

Lukaku scored 42% of evertons goals. Should always be wary of a high stat like this, says alot about his all round game.
