That's their gripe I believe, that they haven't had any contact from Liverpool whatsoever but VvD has.

These two things may be connected.

All the talk recently was 50-60m which I had kind of made my piece with, but it was reported that Pool had bid 42+8 in add ons, and some speculation that Celtic's fee may be bigger if we sell him within 5 years of signing. If, for example, we ended up with less than 30m in the bank then it would make me a sad panda.

With regards to Bert, I've made no secret that I think he's ****ing great and if City were put off by 40m for Mendy then I would guess it means that they think they're getting him for significantly less than that.

If the total amount for both of them is closer to 50 than 100 then I'll think we've ****ed it quite considerably.
