Because the Yanks have an above average lineup.

That being said it looks like the Yanks have a better shot at DH production today as Sanchez is DHing with romine catching. I don't really mind, gray has been better with Romine and Headley/Ellsbury/Holliday combined 0-18 vs McCullers

Yanks really need to upgrade their backup C spot next year, Romine is actually awful at everything except blocking balls. Terrible thrower, terrible hitter, worse catcher's ERA. Given what they have gotten from the DH spot, this is defensible, but they need a better backup.
