I'm an elite ball drafter, I have to keep up my good record. I once traded Gilbert Arenas and a bunch of trash to Wiper for prime Kobe.

I find one of those 2 picks more facemelting than the other...

IT2 = $6,261,395
Blake = $29,700,000

Isaiah is how most people spell Isiah/Isaiah; that's how they spell it in the bible; of course the first IT in the nba was spelt Isiah so we always spell it that way. IT2 spells his Isaiah btw.

Yea I felt the same way regarding Steph. Hes obv super awesome and all, but spending 35mil on someone who can only play point guard really cripples you going forward in this. Its not going to be easy to find cheap non-horrible wings.

I think IT2 could've gone as high as #7. He gets a lot of hate around here, but he is so cheap and he can provide enough one-man-offense that you can focus on defense with your other picks. Don't like the Blake pick though- hes a classic example of a guy who is really good but whose skillset(big who can't shoot 3s or rim protect) just kills you in the modern NBA.

Why can Steph "only play PG" Assani? He's literally the best shooter of all time, and a willing/capable screener, he does just fine off the ball.

Spreadsheet updated. This is going to be pretty interesting to see how the second round plays out wrt dollars spent.

Also IT2 is a STEAL with his salary imo.

Yea offensively hes a stud and can play point or wing, but defense is a completely different issue. According to 82games he played 1% of the Warriors Shooting Guard minutes in 2011-12 and has not played anything except Point Guard since.

Like, I guess you can take an UNDRAFTED type player, but thats an awfully small backcourt and there aren't that many of those types available(and some of them are ball-dominant on O which isn't great alongside Steph)

Yeah sure he doesn't make threes but that doesn't really matter when he's still an elite player especially offensively. #1 PF in ORPM last year.

Give me Klay for 17.8. Don't feel great about it but seems like decent value. Some undrafted PGs were also in mind. Should be able to fill out the roster to fit any unmet needs.

Middle of the day not great for me, sorry for the wait

i wasn't thrilled to take steph when lebron goes 2 picks earlier because it almost guarantees you won't "win the draft", but it seemed like the most responsible pick. did you think jimmy was the pivot or KAT?

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to screw things up there - the second post was me not wanting for aim to feel/get pushed out. But maybe he just wanted an excuse to flake given staps not available to him.
