Yup. I think something might have got lost in the news...
Naby has a good interception rate. If he carried that over to the PL, he'd have almost 29 by now & easily qualify. However, he's still playing in Leipzig this season.
He's averaging 2.5 interceptions per game in his 7 Bundelisga matches so far this season.
Anyway, he was the only answer given with 0 Premier League Interceptions.

Spurs appear to play a style that intentionally involves NOT taking the ball from the other team.
Last year this guy had 40 interceptions...good enough for 2nd on the team, but tied for 92nd in the league (we'll get to the team leader eventually). This year, the 26 y/o Kenyan has only played one game.

This is an old graphic, but one would be better served to have chosen his current teammate with over twice the interception rate...
Last year this 27 y/o Englishman had 25 interceptions in 26 games. This year he has 7 in 10.

After finishing 11th in the league last year, this guy has had a disappointing start to the current season (in terms of interceptions...he did net a game winning goal in injury time against Newcastle on Saturday). He has sat out 2 games & appeared as a sub in 2 others.

Among the 3 players with 13 interceptions were 2 would-be Man U aces. These players were the 2 leading interceptors for the club last year (T8th & T29th overall), but are in a 3-way tie for 3rd on their own club this season (Ashley Young).
Only 5 starts & 9 total games has likely doomed this Spaniard.
& only playing 8 games probably hurt this Ivorian.

This next player was tied for 6th last year in interceptions (tied with this season's runaway most popular choice).
This year, this New Zealander has only played 8 games, & has a lower interception rate to boot.

As mentioned before, Spurs aren't about that intercepting lifestyle. If you felt obligated to pick a player from that squad, this player is definitely the least incorrect, leading the team for the 2nd straight season.

After finishing tied for 14th in the league last year, this guy is 4th on his own team this year. Too much competition for interceptions obviously.

Whoever put this chart together seems to be using a different source than me, because according to mine he had 81 last year, good for tied for 8th with Ander Herrera. This year he has played every game, but has received a red card. He still averages 84 minutes per game, though, so I'll just assume it's part of Everton's general overall listlessness this season.

2 years ago he was everywhere. Last year he was just most places (T6th). This year he's only played 8 games. One more, & he probably gets there. Unfortunate for many of you (fortunate for many others)...
