Here are 3 different scoring systems:

#1 - Normal PEEHS scoring is correct answers get a point for each person who chose the answer, & incorrects get the score the most popular correct answer gets, plus the number of different correct answers given.

#2 - This PEEHS is modified so that that if there is a huge SHEEP that is incorrect (e.g. Burnley), the people who picked that huge incorrect SHEEP can do worse than other people who provided incorrect answers.

#3 - KrazyKris's 2017 NFL PEEHS has another different modified system wherein the incorrect score will be based on the SHEEP score + the # of correct answers, even if the SHEEP is an incorrect.

So let's take this question for example for each scoring system:

#1 - Incorrects get 5 points (because that's what the correct SHEEP was) + 4 points because 4 different correct answers were given, for a total of 9 points.

#2 - Works the same for every incorrect answer that scored 9 or less, but any answer with 10 or more gets a # of points equal to the people who gave the wrong answer, in this case 15.

#3 - In this scoring system, 15 would become the SHEEP score, even though Burnley was incorrect, and plus the 4 different incorrect answers, incorrects would get 19 points on this question. This severely punishes everyone who is incorrect in these circumstances, not just those who picked the runaway SHEEP answer that was wrong.

1-1-1 took me a while to understand and talking about teams in the singular

Happy to be mediocre for now, but I need redacted to score a couple of goals quick!

I just looked at who i put for the next question, gotta have <2% equity to be right.

The confusing part to me is that the draws are in the middle (W-D-L instead of W-L-D, although the former makes more sense in a vaccum), but that's so symmetrical it did not take much thought. How do you format that?

& teams are a single collection of multiple individuals. Referring to them in the plural seems silly.

The board decides.
The board members decide.

The team plays.
The players on the team play.

Of course, in America it would be...
Manchester United plays.
The Red Devils play.

...which doesn't really make sense either.

I think either can be correct, but English soccer teams are almost always referred to in the plural, as a group of individuals.

No way, tilts me when it's W-D-L. Proper format should always be W-L-D

This is about the most incorrect thing I've ever heard. The American way makes absolutely zero sense. It is even dumber than using something other than the metric system. And that's coming from someone who routinely says stuff like "my car gets forty rods to the hogshead".

Is it dumber than writing dates as month/date/year though? English is weird, either American kind or British.
