Watching Azarenka hobble around the court was pretty disappointing.

don't understand the lols, this is a great tournament to go to. amazing trip to do.

I'm good with either Djoker or Raja taking this one down so...like 95% chance I'll be good. I like Djoker and feel like he deserves to finally win here, but also like Rafa and feel like this is his Lion in Winter moment, he is finally playing well and healthy at the right time and this legit could be the last time that happens.

Djoker meanwhile should be the favorite here for the next 3 or 4 years provided he's healthy enough to play.

edit: though for Rafa, the fact that he won 2 years ago feels like a loooooong time ago. bizarre to think only Stan has won since Rafa did, he's just been so banged up since then

I'll help. Terrible organization, terrible weather, no roof, no lights, French crowd can be *******s at times, no Hawkeye (because of tradition or whatever) and historically awful TV coverage.

I'm sure it would be a fun tournament to go to, but I would not go out of my way to go to it. The other three slams, I definitely would.

I actually prefer the weather at Roland Garros to US Open. US Open you can just bake in the sun.

Organization, I don't know if you've been to the US Open, but it's a complete zoo and packed. You can wait a long time to get into a court. Roland Garros is far, far better as a spectator.

No lights, who cares, you get there at 11am and by the time 8pm rolls around it's time to go into Paris. the day you get as a spectator there is actually longer than US Open. at US Open the night matches are also under a separate ticket so sometimes you'll get screwed by that

oh and ticket prices - it's ridic cheaper and easier to get good seats at Roland Garros than US Open. it helps that the stadiums are half the size, but also the demand is much less. good Ashe seats are hundreds of dollars, Chartier a fraction of that

TV coverage sucks for sure though

I've been to each multiple times, 100% Roland Garros is way, way, way more enjoyable to go to

I have been to the US Open. It was great. Loved the atmosphere. Can stay there for 10 hours and watch great matches. Don't really care about the ticket prices since I only went with a grounds pass which is how to do it IMO.

Agree that grounds passes are great, it's just that if you want to see the top guys there is a good chance you'll be shut out. Or in lame seats.

In Paris we sometimes bought Chartier or Lenglen and then still wandered to side courts when the time was right. And yeah the crowd can be lame but that means you can move down to great seats.

Tennis on hard courts sucks that's why RG is better than Australian and US Open

As for TV coverage, I agree it's a pain for us french that all the major events (RG, TdF) are run by the national television which is not competent at all and I imagine other countries being tilted by that

She apparently mentioned it two weeks ago but now it's getting more run at RG but Genie has difficulties eating. She didn't call it a disorder (some outlets reporting that) but makes sense why she looked pretty damn skinny at times last year. Nerves played into not eating before matches as well.

Roland Garros always has the hottest women in attendance of any sporting event EVER. Worth it just to go for that.

Murray going through one of his moments ...

Is there another world number 2 out there in any sport that even comes close to temporary meltdowns quite like Murray ?

Lol murray. Do you want 7 sets soon since you can't win in 5?

Got this Fratangelo kid at +1150 in this match I see he got crushed in first set hows he looking now though im unable to watch at the moment?

I actually don't hate that bet since I think Fratangelo can beat Gasquet 1 out of 10 times. That being said, he just missed converting a break for the set, and I expect him to lose the tiebreak.

05-25-2016 , 10:56 AM
... and now of course you expect Fratengelo to run the table on the last 3?

I also have Goffin at +15000 to win the whole thing, and I recommend that to anyone who can still get close to it. On his good days he looks amazing.... I'll take that over slighter higher ranked guys like Fererr that always bow down to the creme of the crop. 6-0, 6-0 bashing of Berdych is pretty impressive.

Goffin was easily defeated by Murray in Rome. He can't serve, so he has no equity to win this tournament. I missed the Berdych match, but that's not a result I would ever base future bets off of.

Thiem is probably the best longer shot to bet on, but Kyrgios also could have value. Tsonga and Berdych with possible value, as well.

sure Murray can also easily defeat any of the other guys you listed on a given night, I feel he has wildly inconsistent results good/bad and that's the type of thing I want when i take a long shot. Yes he's a ****ty server but excellent return game.

I feel like Tsonga has the most legit chance of anyone we mentioned to take the title, but I don't recall his odds being overly long.

Went yesterday for the first time. Had previously only been to Wimbledon.

Had tickets for Lenglen so saw Kvitova, Wawrinka, Gasquet and Radwanska but spent time on outer courts to see Edmund/Isner and Watson/Kuznetsova.

Enjoyed it more than Wimbledon. Was pretty easy to get midweek tickets for a show court. Weather was nice. Hardly any queue to get on outside courts. Much easier to walk around the grounds without huge numbers of people. Will go again.

Cmon Murray.
