I do agree, but he generally has been avoiding any big contact or huge hits. He does a good job leading with his non throwing shoulder.

& no, it's not his throwing shoulder that is hurt.

Another crazy week!

Some observations from the UF/UK game:

offense:
-tebow is still incredible. Having bubba back is great as well, he showed that he is a very nice piece of this offense. Still, the lack of a true run game is somewhat alarming (though we've shown thus far that tebow and seldom used moore can keep defenses off balance).

also, hope Tebow will be fine. Thanks to TFG for posting the injury reports.

defense:
-wow, torrey davis is a beast. I say we leave C. McMillen out and leave the big frosh in there. He bit on a few plays but for the most part wreaked havoc. First time I saw push this year. Definitely great DL play with J. Cunningham and D. Harvey. This DL is starting to look better.

LBs, still great. spikes and doe missed a few tackles but for the most part, I'm happy with our LBs and they should be great next year.

DBs, still not there. rickerson got burned every time and I'm glad they pulled him. Wondy still runs around like a headless chicken at times. if we lose major wright next week, i'll be quite angry. the thought of having k. jackson in there makes me want to throw up.

in other news, Les Miles is still ******ed. I feel for AU fans, despite my eternal hatred for them.

How about some love for the Dores?
Beating the #6 team in the country on the road is a big win for anyone, but a monster for Vandy.

much love for VU, about time they did what they're capable of doing. USCe was massively overrated though.

I don't know if you were able to watch, but I listened on the radio during the game and caught the Sunday replay on TV. SC looked bad. I mean, they looked awful. VU's defense played well, but... man, SC looked bad bad bad.

Its supremely frustrating to think they had the Georgia game all but locked up, and could have won v. them and SC back-to-back, but "supremely frustrating" is more or less what following VU football is all about.

S Car looked real bad the second half v UNC as well...for a Spurrier offense, they sure are struggling

I think UF will prove UGA is really bad, but damn rivalry games, we'll probably win by 4.

after last year, when Florida got out ahead but ended up struggling to put it away 21-14, I think your 4 estimate is right on the money. Florida is definitely better, but rivalries are a strange bird.

Wow, UGA totally surprised us today, but they are definitely well coached & talented so it shouldn't of been that much of a surprise. Must be very frustrating to be a dawg fan this season after playing awesome today & then getting destroyed by UT.

UF obviously is very inexperienced on D & just a few huge mistakes on offense. I had a great time at the game though & the players never quit despite getting dominated at the LOS.
Offense is unreal, we should of put up 50 today against a fast UGA defense. We're so talented defensively but there has to be a lot of growing up before we dominate the world next year.

Oh yea, UGA players & fans still suck, Mark Richt is pretty cool though. Wow @ the unsportsmanlike conduct by them. I know we had a few too but they did the chomp after 50% of plays they did well on, so you may as well call it you are going to call it other times.

Also, wtf at some of you Gator fans in the NCAA thread?
Unbelievably embarrassing.

Nobody remembers where our D last year came from. Do you know why they were good? Experience. Last year we still had slow ass Tony Joiner, Early Everett & Brandon Siler. Prior to our success, everyone hated on BSiler & EE as being too "slow". The whole defensive line sucked ass before last year minus Marcus Thomas. They got experience & got better.

We are immensely faster. Maybe we're not playing at full speed yet but obviously that has to do with the experience. If anything the defensive coaching hasn't been up to par but you can't play man to man when your safety play is absolutely horrific & you can't play soft when your corners can't tackle/cover.

Also, I assume Richt told the team to run on the field & take the penalty. I think it was a good motivational tool, but you can't allow yourself to kickoff at the 15 vs the UF offense, so it was pretty dumb. As it is, I think he's a good guy who just went for the extra motivation.

He didnt tell them to rush the field exactly. He said in the post game interview that he told them they would have AM runs if they didnt get a celebration penalty and he told them he wanted to see them celebrate as a team. He didn't specifically tell them to rush the field but I doubt he was surprised.

Richt has a record of being one of the classiest coaches but it his normal attitude that has contributed to many lackluster performances. I think at 1-5 or w/e vs UF he needed to do something and it was brilliant IMO.

Honestly, though, UGA was plenty motivated as it was. It was a good try though. You should of seen the Gator bench at the game, we were going nuts jumping up & down on the sideline. Gators were pumped & had the motivation/momentum until the Moore fumble.

Once guys like Haden, Major and all those stud d-lineman you've signed in the last year or two get more experience and time in a college S&C program that defense will be scary.

1LSU
2Auburn
3Georgia
4Florida
5Bama
6Kentucky
7S Carolina
8Tennessee
9Arkansas
10Miss St
11Vandy
12Ole Miss

Vandy could move up by winning the East Seriously, what if they hadn't fumbled against Georgia?

After watching this weekend, I can't say there is really much difference between 2 and 11. Looks like LSU, Ole Miss and everybody else. What does this mean for the SEC? Is it overrated? I know it has to be the most exciting conference. The Saturday night ESPN games have been ridiculous. I think they've all been decided on the final play. If Bama can beat LSU next week it will throw a wrench in everything.
